‘Fire’s Burnin’ TobyMac And Cory Asbury Lyric Video

One of the biggest names in the Christian music scene, TobyMac, is back with what is sure to be another hit song.

In nearly every poll on any upcoming election, a certain amount of people support Candidate A, with another portion backing Candidate B. However, there is always a third, much smaller percentage of people who remain undecided. They are unable to figure out who or what they support. While being undecided is acceptable when it comes to elections, it's not when it comes to following Christ.

TobyMac’s song, “Fire’s Burnin,” features the musical talent of Cory Asbury and is about being all in for Christ. Instead of remaining undecided or a lukewarm follower, TobyMac sings that he is leaving everything behind and making a firm commitment to the Lord.

The musicians are all in when it comes to following Christ. The Lord will no longer be their “side thing.” Instead, as the lyrics state, He will be their “ride or die thing.”

“I got my eyes wide open and they’re only on you
This ain’t no side thing, my ride or die thing
I put it all on the table, you’re the one that I choose
You got my whole heart”

The song also mentions how the Lord has performed miracles in their lives. When there was seemingly no way, when there was nothing for them to do, the Lord made a way. He saved them from an impossible situation.

He was faithful and never left their side, as is stated throughout the Bible.

As the song indicates and God’s Word mentions, lukewarm followers of Christ are essentially useless. He actually spits out those who are lukewarm or can’t decide from his mouth. He wants nothing to do with those who remain lukewarm in their following of Christ.

He wants our all or nothing. There are no undecideds when it comes to following Jesus Christ.

Revelation 3:16 “So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth."

'I Stand' The Belonging Co. Acoustic Performance

There are some songs that are timeless worship cries. Check out this stunning song, 'I Stand,' The Belonging Co. acoustic performance.

As we see a band in front of a white backdrop, they are praising the Lord together. This is a beautiful modernized hymn. The original hymn is “Solid Rock” by Edward Mote from 1834. After all of these years, this song has been made new and fresh to this generation with the same message of Christ being the foundation of the faith we hope in. Whatever is going on in our lives that challenges, refines, or sharpens our faith, may this song be a reminder to us that we can rest on the firm foundation of Jesus.

The Belonging Co. does a fabulous job of providing the hymn with a modern twist. After the song, they share about how this has been a journey. The thought of the original “Solid Rock” came to the worship leader's heart during a regular Sunday worship service because he was thinking about how there is so much shaking around us. He was reminded that Jesus is above all but also below all, holding us up. We do not have to worry when there is shakiness in this world, but we can have confidence in who He is and what He has done in his death and resurrection.

The songwriters share that they do something very uniquely musical and have time changes within the song that turned out very naturally. It is encouraging to see songs today anchored in the message that Jesus is our Savior. This is an unchanging truth and the hope of the world throughout each generation. You can see the excitement and humility shine through their conversation.

“Have you not even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected, This became the chief corner stone.” Mark 12:10

'Everything That Has Breath (Praise)' Jesus Culture, Bryan And Katie Torwalt

Are you in need of the Lord’s presence today? Look no further than ‘Everything That Has Breath (Praise), performed by Jesus Culture, Bran, and Katie Torwalt.

Do you ever feel like you need a moment alone with the Lord? Is it when you feel overwhelmed? Or perhaps when it seems like everyone and everything is against you? Psalms 150 from the Bible is the last chapter. Here, we find David praising the Lord, and we can actually relate to some of the aspects of his life before he wrote Paslm 150.

David went from being a lowly shepherd to God’s anointed king. He struggled with sin that devastated his family and his kingdom. He was adored by his people but his own son betrayed him (1 Samuel 16:11-13).

David experienced so much joy and grief but he somehow praised God in the midst of it. We can look to him as an example. When we are distressed, praise the Lord. When we are overwhelmed, praise the Lord. When we are anxious, praise the Lord.

What I love so much about the collaboration between Jesus Culture, Bran, and Katie Torwalt is how they usher us into a place of peace and reverence as we bring our hearts to God. Part of Bryan and Katie’s mission is to “the earth transformed into heaven's likeness,” with lyrics like “We lift our hands to the heavens. We are here for You. We reach for the hem of Your garment. We know what it can do. We know what it can do.”

The chorus will raise your hands higher to the Lord, “Praise, praise. Let everything that has breath praise. Sing a new song to the Lord. Oh let our praises roar. Praise, praise. We praise the Lord.”

I hope this song lifts your spirit and is a healing balm to your soul. May it be the warrior's call to praise the Lord in all things as you let your praises roar to our heavenly father.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord,” Psalms 150:6

'Call On The Name' Cody Carnes Acoustic Performance

Ready to have a moment with God and soak in his presence? Listen to ‘Call On The Name’ sung by Cody Carnes during an acoustic performance.

There is something about the acoustic sound that stirs our souls deeply. Pair acoustic with a worship song and we have the perfect recipe to worship God as he soothes our anxious souls and aching hearts.

Cordy Carnes’ performance is like a warm embrace of our heavenly father as we call on his name as he croons: “I call on the name of Jesus. I want to be saved. I never want to be the same. This life I’m living it’s all Yours. It’s all Yours.”

Cody Carnes used to duet with his wife Kari Jobe before he decided to go solo. He channels aspects of U2 and Cold Play and has a Southern rock taste in his music. He was called to music from a young age. In his teens, he played in several bands before he became a part of Gateway Worship. There, he met his future wife Kari Jobe. They were often found together writing songs before they tied the knot. After they married, the pair moved to Nashville and had a son. Can you imagine their little boy’s lullaby songs with two talented parents?

What I love about Cody is his ability to draw in the Holy Spirit as he worships our heavenly father. His words become a prayer as we praise the Lord for his goodness, his mercy, and his sovereignty. So often in life, we get caught up in our circumstances. We’re being pulled in 1,000 different directions and we struggle to focus on Jesus alone. But the Good Book promises us in Romans 10:13, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Thank you Jesus for this undeniable truth! May this worship video be the tool you need to shut out the distractions as you sing along and worship Jesus.

“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved,” Romans 10:13.

JJ Heller Sings Classic Hymn ‘Come Thou Found Of Every Blessing’

One woman used her beautiful voice to give a stunning performance of a beloved hymn about Christ's grace, mercy and love.

There is a reason why hymns are still sung and performed in churches all over the world. Yes, contemporary Christian music is catchy, upbeat and made for a more modern audience. However, there is still something different about the lyrics to “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness” and “Victory in Jesus.”

Most hymns are elegantly and expertly written. Hymn lyrics are written in a short and concise manner but are still extremely powerful and moving, conveying a message either about Christ’s unending love, guidance, protection or faithfulness. So much is said in so little in those beloved church hymns.

In a video posted on YouTube, JJ Heller performs, in the official lyric video, the classic hymn “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.” Her outstanding voice is a perfect match for the song about Christ’s love, mercy and grace.

“Come Thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise”

What absolutely beautiful lyrics!

“Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" is not the only old church hymn that JJ has performed. She has several other lyric videos posted on her YouTube channel. “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee” and “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” are also posted on her page.

She doesn’t just sing hymns either. Per her YouTube channel, JJ also has renditions of Bill Withers’ classic “Lean on Me,” Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” and “A Spoonful of Sugar” from the Mary Poppins film, among others.

With her music and videos, JJ aims to help others “express emotion so you feel more understood, more hope & more peace,” according to the About section on her channel

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

'No Chains On Me' Chris Tomlin Lyric Video

Get a fun “pick-me-up” by listening and reading the words to this fun song of faith. Check out,  'No Chains On Me' Chris Tomlin Lyric Video.

Sometimes Christian songs focus more on slow and intimate moments with the Lord. That is wonderful; however, other times, we need to listen to music that is pure joy and excitement over the fact that Jesus has saved us. We have reason to celebrate each and every breath.

This song from Chris Tomlin is so catchy and uplifting. It gets our hearts pumping with excitement over Jesus’ sacrifice that has led to our freedom. Between the electronic dance music sound and worship blend, you will want to dance in the kitchen in worship while you hear it.

The chorus sings:

“My heart is free, no chains on me. God, You raise me up, up from the grave

The cross before, I'm on my way. My heart is free, no chains on me”

Have you felt trapped or weighed down by the burdens of your own sin struggles in this life or perhaps the sin that has been done to you? This song will revive your heart today and refresh your spirit to know that you have been set free by the blood of Jesus.

He has forgiven you of all past, present, and future sins. We do not have to live in shame and guilt but in freedom and victory. We can put on His armor and fight the good fight of faith, knowing that He has already won.

Check out this lyric video and try not to sing and dance along, it is so wonderfully catchy and meaningful.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1

Bluegrass Family Band Performs “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”

Start your day—or end it—with a listen to this stirring performance of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” by the bluegrass family band known as The Brandenberger Family. This video is a real treat!

While today’s world may be a sad and sinful place, we seem to be experiencing a time in which Christian music is thriving. And there are a myriad of types and styles available to meet the needs of hungry souls. While The Brandenberger Family shares old and beloved hymns on social media and in small venues, others bring contemporary Christian hits to the masses. What a blessing!

Will the Circle Be Unbroken” was written in 1907 by Ada R. Habershon; the music was composed by Charles H. Gabriel. Performed by dozens of artists over the years, the lyrics tell the story of an adult child who has lost his mother. Amidst the grief and sadness, the mourner has hope, confident he will be reunited in Heaven with his mother and other loved ones.

Here is the first verse of the classic hymn:

I was standing by my window,
On one cold and cloudy day
When I saw that hearse come rolling
For to carry my mother away

Nearly all of us who have typical life expectancies will walk in the shoes of the song’s story teller. Maybe that is why the song resonates with so many. Many may never have listened to the verses, but recognize and recall the words of the song’s chorus, having heard it since childhood. The song speaks to us, and this family of musically gifted artists do it perfectly!

There are eight musicians in the group; five are men, and three are women. There are no keys, but who needs them when you have this many strings.

One gentleman, seated at the door and playing a snare drum, never opens his eyes during the performance. The singer/guitarist in green has a sincere, wistful look in his eyes. Check out the pretty girl on the bass at about 37 seconds; she gets tickled and it’s super cute.

Note the man in the violet shirt, who appears to be the senior member and group leader. He looks directly at the camera only once. When he sings the final verse, he lands the word “strong” at about 4:20 seconds, singing now about the teaching of a spirit-filled mother. He holds eye contact for a line or two because this is an important point.

The song is precious. This family is genuine and most definitely talented. Grief is crushing and brutal. Heaven is waiting and worth it. And faithful and loving mothers are loved beyond measure!

“I went about mourning as though for my friend or brother. I bowed my head in grief as though weeping for my mother.” Psalms 35:14

'Desert Road' Casting Crowns Music Video

Casting Crowns is an incredible group of lyricists and musicians. They have many years of crafting wonderful music. Check out this hit, 'Desert Road' Casting Crowns music video.

As the song begins to play, we hear a melody that sounds like travel, and we see a road below us. Then the words intrigue us. “I don’t want to write this song. I don’t want this pain to be my story.” We see the lead singer behind the wheel of a car, driving and pondering life. We hear him authentically share that he does not want to be on this desert road, but God is with him in it.

The lead singer is seen in the rocky mountains, walking alone with a backpack. The visual of his heart is clear. He feels isolated like no one understands, however the Lord is with him. He shares the Biblical truth that God is close to the brokenhearted.

The chorus sings:

“I don't know where this is goin'
But I know who holds my hand
It's not the path I would've chosen
But I'll follow You to the end”

The song was inspired by the book of Acts and the disciple Philip’s journey to follow Christ even when it was hard. You see the man driving in the dark, hiking, and then the stunning view from the top of the mountain. The visual is empowering and reminds us that whatever the Lord has called us to, He has already been through this, and He is with us, even in the most difficult seasons.

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15

God's Response In Prayer

When praying I heard these words on my heart, and put them down in this original PrayerChant

'Runnin' Elevation Worship Featuring Brandon Lake

Humans aren’t perfect, but God loves us anyway, even in our unbelief.

If that statement resonates with you, take a listen to this powerful song, ‘Runnin’, by Elevation Worship featuring Brandon Lake. About 15 years into my walk with Jesus, it felt as if there was an empty space in my heart where Jesus used to be. I was struggling with unbelief after a series of well-timed events. In a matter of days, we were bankrupt, my children were diagnosed with special needs, and I lost a baby.

I sat in church week after week. I knew God was good. I knew he was there for me. I knew he had the ability to give my faith. Yet, I found myself in a spiritual desert. Now I may not know your circumstances nor what led to your moment of unbelief. However, I can tell you God is with you. He will provide an oasis in the middle of the spiritual desert you’re walking through.

You and I aren’t the only ones who have struggled with unbelief. The Bible is filled with story after story. In Mark 9:24, we read about the plight of the father whose son was possessed by demons. His words will resonate with you when he cried out, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

This plea — this prayer — of a desperate father, expresses in five simple words of experiencing a spiritual desert. It reveals all followers have both belief and unbelief, both doubt and faith, and both hope and desperation all at the same time. Jesus didn’t abandon the Father. Instead, Jesus healed his son because even in the father’s unbelief, he still had faith in who Jesus was.

These examples reveal God will continue to pursue and love us even in our unbelief. If you’re struggling to with your faith, you came to the right place. Looking back at the spiritual desert of unbelief that I endured, I can see God’s fingerprints all over my life as he worked behind the scenes to heal, strengthen, and comfort me.

This powerful music video paired will be the oasis in your desert. It will be a healing balm to your soul as you cry out to God. The lyrics remind us, “Your love is better than life. I can’t even wrap my mind around it. One day here in Your house is better than a thousand elsewhere. Your love keeps on runnin, runnin, runnin, keeps on runnin after me.”

“Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you,” Psalm 63:3.

Mac Powell 'God Of Wonders' Moving Live Performance

Mac Powell sings the popular Christian song, ‘God of Wonders’ at the Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado. And it is quite the performance!

As the video begins you can see the huge crowd gathered for the performance. Mac Powell has his guitar and microphone, singing the same song he had sung for the City on a Hill: Songs of Worship and Praise album in 2000. ‘God of Wonders’ is the first track on that album that Mac sang with Cliff and Danielle Young of Cadenom’s Call.

At the time, Mac was a member of the Christian rock band, Third Day. Started in 1991, the band was together in some form until their farewell tour in 2018. These days, Mac Powell is a solo artist.

Andrew Ripp, an American singer and Grammy-nominated songwriter, joins him on stage for the song, and towards the end of the video, the audience joins in too. Evidence of how beloved a song this one has become.

The song ‘God of Wonders’ is about how great God truly is.

“And God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe declares Your majesty
You are holy, holy”

The lyrics talk about how holy God is, how he is the Lord of heaven and earth, and how the universe declares his majesty. How we stand in awe of God and truly admire who he is.

The song was written by Steve Hindalong and Marc Byrd of the Christian rock group, The Choir. The song has been recorded by nearly 100 artists over the years and is a familiar one in Christian circles. You can also find it on Third Day’s Offerings II: All I Have to Give album from 2003.
