Chris Tomlin - Jesus My Redeemer

Listen to "Jesus My Redeemer" by Chris Tomlin.

Stephen Stanley - Where I've Been

If you need encouragement about the forgiveness of Jesus today, check out this video. Stephen Stanley - Where I’ve Been.

Stephen is seated in a dark room with his guitar singing amazing vocals. He is tenderly sharing how he has been here before under his own sinful struggles. His lyrics are very powerful and raw. He talks of the desire to get somewhere new where the past won’t find him.

His lyrics remind us that he is not going to be who he was and that his future is brighter and better because of Jesus. His melodies and the musicality build as the listener’s heart is captivated with the story that all believers can relate to in this life.

We all were covered and defined by our past sins, we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, but Jesus brings freedom. Christ has come to set us free, and we do not have to live out of our past behaviors by the strength of the Holy Spirit.

This is more than a song; this is a passionate heart cry for change that only God can do in our lives. Stephen beautifully sings this message and shares it for the world to hear that this is his testimony.

This is also the testimony that Jesus offers to all who place their faith in Him. Where I’ve Been is an inspiring message of hope.

The chorus sings:

“Help me put out all the fire, gotta break the mold I’m in.
Help me find a little freedom, ‘cause where I’m going ain't where I’ve been.
There’s gotta be a silver lining, God I need this road to bend
Don’t let my feet fail me, cause where I’m going ain't where I’ve been.”

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

‘Praise You Anywhere’ Brandon Lake Official Music Video

One of the biggest names in Christian music – Brandon Lake – performs a beautiful song about praising the name of Jesus everywhere, even during the hard times and the struggles.

Life isn’t always exactly a ton of fun. As everyone knows, hurt, heartache and loss are genuine parts of this experience called life. Sometimes it feels like that no matter what we do, we can’t win or even draw even.

However, while it may be difficult to do so, the Bible instructs us to praise God in all situations, even during the bad, trying circumstances of life. In the official music video for his song “Praise You Anywhere,” Brandon Lake reminds us that He is to be praised everywhere and anywhere.

The track's opening verse encourages Christ's followers to give Him praise. The lyrics talk about specific places and times when thanking God may be the furthest thing from our minds. Nevertheless, God is to be praised.

“Sometimes you’ve gotta dance through the darkness
Sing through the fire, praise when it don’t make sense
Sometimes you’ve gotta stare down the giant
Worship from the lion’s den”

When facing these situations, everyone would agree it'd be and is hard to praise God. But Brandon, near the end of the song, adds why he is so willing and able to praise God in the tough times. God has been faithful and kept every promise. There is no reason to doubt He will ever change.

What a wonderful reminder that while it may be difficult, Christians are to praise God and find joy in all situations, even when they are less than ideal. He is still working, and is still in charge, even when it may not appear that way or feel like it.

James 1:2-4 “Let it be all joy to you, my brothers when you undergo tests of every sort. Because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope; but let this power have its full effect, so that you may be made complete, needing nothing.”

‘Praise The Lord’ Micah Tyler Official Music Video

One Christian music artist, Micah Tyler, performed a song about praising and thanking God during every situation and circumstance in life: the good, the bad and the in-between.

Life is an experience full of ups and downs. Yes, instances will occur that are cause for happiness and celebration. On the other hand, there will be times that are grief-stricken and full of heartache. However, through everything, God is still the same God. He is still at work, in charge and has all things under His control. He is also worthy of praise during the good and not-so-good times.

Micah Tyler, in the official video for his song “Praise the Lord,” not only sings about but also hilariously demonstrates praising God throughout the bad times. In the song’s opening chorus, he states why he is so joyful and praises the Lord even during trying times.

“I remember when a long-lost sinner
Met a good, good God
I remember when my heart was broken
But now it’s not”

After being transformed by God’s love, mercy and grace, Micah appears to have an unending and unceasing joy. As the video so hilariously illustrates, none of life’s troubles will change his outlook. He has found the one true and real source of joy.

Even during a less-than-optimal visit to the dentist, Micah is overwhelmingly cheerful and happy. When one of his front teeth is extracted and lands on the floor, he’s more than thrilled because, as he sings, God changed his life and has not stopped.

In the video, Micah maintains his joy and sunny disposition when he drops his food on the floor, has his own personal storm cloud and experiences car trouble.

But his toughest test in the video comes when he visits the always distressing DMV. Despite the long, slow-moving line and the unhelpful government worker, Micah remains upbeat and joyful because of God’s work in his life.

Yes, Micah’s video is an exaggeration. No one is that happy after experiencing so much negativity in one day. But regardless, God remains the same, through the good and bad. He is worthy of all praise!

1 Thessalonians 5:16 “Have joy at all times.”

Men Of Celtic Thunder Sing ‘You Raise Me Up’

Celtic Thunder, a talented musical group from the land of leprechauns, four-leaf clovers and Guinness, gives a rousing and inspired performance of a Josh Groban classic.

The many storms, heartaches and the constant, day-in-day-out grind of life wear people down. Despair, loneliness and feelings of inadequacy may set in, making situations worse. During those times, an encouraging and uplifting word from a close, trusted friend or a significant other can make all the difference.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one member of Celtic Thunder performs Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up,” before what appears to be a sold-out crowd. The vocalist in the video turns in a masterful rendition of the song made famous by Josh Groban.

While his voice and performance of the song are not as strong or as powerful as Josh’s, it’s very comparable. He also doesn’t try to be or outdo Josh Groban, which works in his favor.

Instead, the member of Celtic Thunder, singing before the likely sold-out crowd, gives a softer, toned-down version of the song. However, there are several places throughout the memorable and classic track where he does display his powerful voice.

At the very end of the song, the young man reaches back and lets it go, hitting and holding a high note for nearly 10 seconds or so.

At the conclusion of his performance, the crowd shows their appreciation by giving him a well-deserved round of applause. The camera also catches several audience members giving him a standing ovation.

In troubling and trying times, the Lord can always be counted upon to see us through. The Bible mentions that in our times of trouble and despair, He will not leave or forsake us. He is the comforter and a calming presence during storms and the raging seas of life.

Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to me, all who are troubled and weighted down with care, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

‘Seventh Of June’ Anne Wilson Official Music Video

Grammy-nominated Christian music artist Anne Wilson is back with a moving and heartfelt song, singing the deeply personal track about loss, “Seventh of June.”

Music is an excellent way to express thoughts, feelings and emotions that can often be hard to articulate. Musicians have been singing about issues and topics that impact their lives and those of their listeners for years. Whether it’s a breakup, the loss of a dear friend or family member or some other tragedy, music can be very therapeutic.

In the official music video for “Seventh of June,” Anne Wilson opens up and sings about a loss that greatly impacted her life, that of her brother Jacob. The video begins with an old home movie playing on a television in what appears to be an abandoned house. Seconds later, Anne frantically wakes up. She has been experiencing a nightmare.

As the music begins playing, Anne drives along a country road as the sun rises over the horizon. As Anne belts out the heart-wrenching lyrics, viewers watch as she arrives at the Wilson Farm. She then walks up a hill and eventually comes to her brother’s gravestone.

The lyrics to the moving song make it perfectly clear that Anne, as anyone would be by the loss of a sibling, was deeply impacted by her brother’s passing. Like anyone dealing with sadness and grief, Anne has questions, which sadly, likely won’t be answered this side of heaven.

“Why’d you have to go
Why’d I have to stay
When’s it gonna get easier
To make it through the day”

Following the release of her new song, Anne posted a video on TikTok in which she talked about the meaning behind the song.

“I wanted to release a song that spoke to what I have walked through the last six years now of life without my brother,” Anne said.

She also mentioned what she hopes is accomplished with her touching tune.

“I wrote it for my brother and also for my family, but also wanted to invite you guys into it as well,” she said. “It’s a song that I hope brings you a lot of joy and comfort, as I’ve heard it already has for some of you all. And I pray that it continues to.”

Psalm 23:4 “Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.”

Jesus Loves Me’ Hymn Medley With Children’s Choir

A woman and dozens of children beautifully performed a medley of recognizable and beloved tunes.

There are several classic and iconic songs of worship and praise and many likely know those lyrics by heart. Anyone who has attended a church service knows “Amazing Grace” verbatim. It has been performed thousands of times by hundreds of artists. To this day, it remains a favorite of many. “Victory in Jesus,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Great is Thy Faithfulness” are just a few of the many other widely recognized church hymns.

Other favorite songs of worship and praise include “Jesus Loves Me,” “Jesus Loves Even Me” and “And Can it Be, That I Should Gain?” In a video posted on YouTube, Rosemary Siemens leads dozens of children in a unique mashup of these three songs about Christ’s unbelievable and unfailing love and grace.

The 5-and-a-half-minute clip begins with Rosemary sitting at and playing the piano while she sings the opening words to “Jesus Loves Me.”

Seconds after the song begins, one young lady appears on screen and walks up to Rosemary, joining her at the piano. Then another child, a young man, walks into the frame and finds a place around the large instrument. A seemingly endless lineup of children finds their way into the room and soon Rosemary is surrounded by youngsters.

Around the 50-second mark, the children join Rosemary by singing the memorable and lovely chorus to “Jesus Loves Me.” Then, after completing the chorus, Rosemary and the children head outside, where they are met by dozens of other children standing in a field,  also singing “Jesus Loves Me.”

Then, at about the halfway point of the clip, Rosemary and the children change things up. They go right into “Jesus Loves Even Me” without missing a beat.

Rosemary and the children end the clip by singing a few lines from the iconic “And Can it Be, That I Should Gain?” hymn.

In addition to displaying her beautiful voice and talent on the piano, Rosemary also shows what she can do on the violin. Rosemary, much like the children she performed with, has a ton of musical ability and talent.

Romans 5:8 “But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us.”

Bluegrass Family Band Sings ‘How Firm A Foundation’

A group of talented musicians performed a beloved hymn about the Lord’s guidance, strength and protection.

Life can be a burdensome experience, filled with trying and tragic circumstances. Troubles will inevitably reach everyone at one time or another. Even worse, those hurdles and obstacles can spring up through no fault of our own. However, there is one who has promised to never leave or forsake us in our time of need.

In a clip posted on YouTube, The Petersens, “an American roots music band based out of Branson, Missouri, sing and perform the hymn “How Firm a Foundation.” This beautiful and moving song reiterates the Lord’s unending love and commitment to His followers, especially during great times of distress and worry. He will be a calming presence, a shelter from the storm.

The song’s opening verse begins by mentioning Christ is life’s firm foundation, the solid rock. That same verse also points out how God's Word states this promise that His strength is more than enough to get us through any and every situation that may come our way.

The lyrics in the second verse are essentially Isaiah 41:10, which states that we have no reason to be afraid. God will remain by our side, helping and strengthening us. With His righteous right hand, He will uphold us.

As clear as the first two verses are about God’s protection during life’s many storms, the song’s fourth verse really brings home the message. If there was still any confusion as to what the proceeding verses were trying to convey about God, the fourth verse is 100% crystal clear.

“When through fiery trials your pathway will lie
My grace all-sufficient will be your supply
The flame will not hurt you, I only design
Your dross to consume, and your gold to refine”

Yes, there will be times when the outcome of situations will appear murky, at best. Danger and trouble may lie ahead, but as God’s Word and the beautiful hymn state, His grace and strength are sufficient. He will see you through!

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear you not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.”

‘The Lord’s Prayer It’s Yours’ Matt Maher And TAYA Official Music Video

Two gifted Christian musicians – Matt Maher and TAYA - turned the Lord’s Prayer into a beautiful and catchy song.

God’s Word is essentially the instruction manual for life. The Bible contains lessons and words of wisdom for any situation or circumstance one may face over the course of a lifetime. The verses, chapters and books found in the Bible are still as useful and relevant today as ever.

The Bible has several passages and pieces of Scripture that are recited and memorized by many. John 3:16, Philippians 4:13 and 1 Corinthians chapter 13 are just a few of the verses and chapters that fit neatly into that category.

Another of those often-quoted passages of Scripture includes Jesus’ instructions to his disciples on how and what to pray for in the book of Matthew. Commonly, this passage is referred to as the Lord’s Prayer.

In the official video for the song “The Lord’s Prayer (It’s Yours),” Matt and Taya beautifully sing those instructions and that prayer from Jesus while recording the tune in a studio. The song's verses and chorus ingeniously incorporate Christ's instructions to His 12 disciples in the New Testament book.

“Give us this day, our daily bread, forgive us, forgive us
As we forgive the ones who sinned against us, forgive them
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us
From the evil one”

What a simple but effective idea for a song. The song’s lyrics and the message contained in those words are one that can easily be applied to all. Everyone can be reminded of Christ’s comments on the proper way to talk to and communicate with God. No matter how well one is familiar with the Lord’s Prayer, hearing the words of Christ repeated can only benefit those who hear them.

Matthew 6:7-8 “In praying don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Therefore, don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask them.”

‘My America’ Danny Gokey Official Music Video

One gifted Christian musician Danny Gokey performed a beautiful song about the hope, wonder and goodness still offered by the United States of America.

In America, one can pick absolutely any issue, and it’s bound to come with people who are ardently in favor of it. On the other hand, that same topic will most certainly have individuals who are steadfastly against it, refusing to budge an inch. The USA, as national 24-hour news channels so often like to portray, is a divided place where every single issue is polarized and divisive.

However, Danny Gokey, in his song “My America” sings that despite the deep partisan divides and some of the ups and downs the country has experienced in its nearly 250-year existence, America is a force for good in the world. It’s a song of hope, optimism and the belief that America can overcome anything in its way.

In the song’s opening verse, Danny states his belief that the United States, even though some feel otherwise, is worth the fight. He’s not ready to give up on the United States of America.

“I hear them say our country’s too far gone
Even claim, our fathers got it wrong
But I won’t give up on us and I’ll take a stand
Cause we can overcome, this is not the end”

Near the tune's conclusion, Danny mentions the USA’s most recognizable symbol of hope and freedom: The Statue of Liberty. He points out how that statue in New York City is, has and always will remain a symbol of hope to the immigrant and refugee seeking to escape hardship and oppression.

The United States of America is not a perfect place. No country and people are without their faults. However, America is still a place where people have the right to live their lives as they see fit. Through hard work and talent, someone can alter the entire trajectory of their lives in the United States of America.

2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
