LET'S TALK GOD THINGS - EP 17 - Lyric Gillett with Faces of Choice

Friday, May 1, 2026

Lyric Elizabeth Gillett is the founder and executive director of Faces of Choice, an
organization birthed to bring awareness to a demographic of survivors that has gone
largely unnoticed: real men and women who were aborted while still in their mothers';
wombs, but survived the process. Her mission is to change the international, cultural
conversation about abortion through the voices of survivors, by bringing the world face
to face with the reality of "choice"; through media driven campaigns. In 2020, Faces of
Choice drew national media attention after its Super Bowl ad featuring abortion
survivors was blocked by the hosting network just days before airing, prompting
widespread media coverage and public discussion. Gillett now leads efforts to bring
survivor-centered storytelling to global audiences, including a network-approved
campaign during the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, the single largest media event in
world history, with projected viewership in the billions. She views this as the catalytic
next step toward building a coordinated, life-affirming global ecosystem — one that
replaces abstraction with human reality and routes moments of cultural awakening into
tangible care, healing, and enduring structures of support by reshaping the cultural
reflex and language.

LET'S TALK GOD THINGS - EP7 (Part 3 of 3) - Kevin & Holly Albright

Saturday, February 21, 2026

Link to Finding My Father book on Amazon: https://a.co/d/4J0TvoC

Kevin Albright was born and raised in the United States. His journey has taken him around the globe, often in the face of world events. As a writer, engineer, entrepreneur, and storyteller, he views the world from a technical yet creative perspective with a spiritual worldview. His greatest joy comes from being a husband, father, and grandfather. His passion is the pursuit of his heavenly Father. His children are involved in ministries affecting the lives of the next generation. They impact others with the knowledge of their heavenly Father and walk in His presence. Today, he is blessed to be retired with his lovely wife in Arizona.

I was a happy child with hopes and dreams. At age 9, standing beside my mother’s bed in intensive care, my childhood was stolen. The one I trusted most inflicted the bullet wounds and beatings lying before me. Fear was an unknown emotion, and I knew nothing of the life of trauma and scars that lay ahead. As I was whisked secretly away in the middle of the night with my siblings, my story began. A traumatic journey battling the unknown, abandonment, and attempts to heal the wounds ensued, until I discovered the source of healing and the meaning of this life. My journey came with much suffering, but it’s not a story of despair. It’s a journey to healing and victory through the pain.

THE BEGINNING
Quietly from the dead of night, in a suburb on the outskirts of a Southern California city, something sinister slowly crossed the threshold of a once secure residence. The tumblers of the lock clicked into place by the prideful choices of a deceived leader. An evil presence cautiously stepped into the family room, leading a human accomplice in tow. Darkness filled every crevice of the room as evil spilled in. Unaware of the ominous creature or the human accomplice edging quietly closer, an innocent mother slumbered quietly, seemingly safe in her room. A long shadow grew down the hallway as the evil force closed in to clinch its victory. The sinister presence took power over the accomplice by invitation, not by force. The accomplice reached for the weapons that accompanied her and executed the maliciously prepared plan of evil. Armed with a pipe and shotgun, the accomplice viciously attacked the unsuspecting mother.

THE JOURNEY
A cast of unseen actors’ plot to destroy a pastor’s family after the once loved leader leaves his church in shambles, and his wife for dead in a sinister act. Spiritual forces must stop the family before they become a threat to their kingdom. As praying saints rally, heavenly forces intervene in an epic battle. When the eldest son becomes a target, he must fight his deepest scars to save his life. The book is based on a true story mixed with a glimpse of warring battles behind the veil of our reality. The story surrounds the passion of a heavenly Father who loves us beyond our struggles and never let’s go. The journey will lead you through deep scars and a struggle to find the one who heals them. The story is told from three perspectives: past, present, and from behind the realm of this world. Will our hero defeat the darkness and find his true Father? Fasten your seat belt and prepare for a fast-paced journey of a lifetime.

EDITORIAL REVIEWS
“With its gripping account of personal tragedies, Finding My Father probes into deep questions about the reality of evil. In the tradition of C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters, Kevin surfaces dark questions about spiritual battles we all may face with Satan. It’s a needed focus on the neglected area of where the battleground for our wellbeing really lies.”

  • Lorna Dueck, TV Host and Media Commentator, Context with Lorna Dueck, Faith Commentary Writer; The Globe and Mail

“This fantastic true story is a classic. It represents a young man re-building his life and soaring above his past with insight and vision.”

  • Bonnie L. Parker, Executive World Missions Director ABEA, Founder of Living Springs Ministries

“I don’t know why some people have more pain in their lives than others. Kevin has certainly had his share. But as I read this powerful, engaging journey of his life, the word that kept coming to me was…’redemption’. Pain has a way of bringing that about in our lives. If you’re looking for an authentic, frank story of God’s redemption in the midst of turmoil, this book is for you”.
