Mac Powell’s Powerful Personal Testimony

Mac Powell, a Christian musician and the lead singer of Third Day, has shared his powerful testimony. God moves and works in people’s lives, constantly reaching and calling out to them. He is the good Shepherd who is always looking for the lost and stray sheep, hoping to bring them home.

Everyone is a sinner who, in ignorance, arrogance and disobedience, has willingly turned their back on God. The Bible confirms this, saying that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. People choose their way, which always leads to death and destruction, instead of God’s way—the path to life and hope.

But despite our sins and turning our backs on Him, He does not wish to see any be lost and perish. His love for us is so great that He constantly reaches out to the lost. His hope for all is that they turn from their old ways and follow Him. In a clip posted on YouTube, Mac Powell talks about when God “changed my heart like it was nothing.”

Mac says he grew up going to church, learning all the Bible verses and singing all the songs. But he admits there was a problem. He says, “My life as a Christian was pretty segmented.” He did what was expected of him while at church, but when he was not in a house of worship, Mac did things his way.

As a senior in high school, someone suggested that he read Romans. When he started to read that New Testament book, God began to work in Mac’s heart immediately.

“Reading in Romans as a senior in high school was evidence to me that God’s Word is real, and it was like God was speaking directly to my heart, reassuring me of His presence and power,” he said. “From that day on, I committed to spending time in God’s Word daily. It transformed my life and gave me the direction I desperately needed. It was my own miracle, and since that moment, I’ve seen God do amazing things.”

Revelation 3:20 “See, I am waiting at the door and giving the sign; if my voice comes to any man’s ears and he makes the door open, I will come i

Willie Robertson Speaks on the Transformative and Far-Reaching Power of the Gospel

Reality television star Willie Robertson spoke on the transformative and far-reaching power of the Gospel message. His words show how much someone sharing the Gospel will impact one person’s life and have repercussions down the road, possibly for generations. This is a clip that you must watch!

Christians are called on to share Christ’s message of love, hope, mercy and forgiveness with others, lost souls in this broken world. The Gospel is too important and powerful to keep concealed and hidden away. It’s intended to be shared far and wide - with anyone and everyone.

However, that is not always an easy thing to do. How does one start witnessing and sharing the Gospel message with someone else? How will that person react? Will they get angry or upset? What will they think of me? Those are just a few of the questions people have before talking about the Gospel with someone. The truth is, we don’t always know how someone will respond when we bring up Jesus Christ and His message of truth, hope and life. But a clip posted on social media shows the massive, far-reaching one person’s obedience to witness and share the Gospel can have.

In the clip posted on YouTube, Willie, of Duck Dynasty fame, talked about how a preacher 50 years ago was bold enough to get in his car, walk into a bar and share the Gospel with his father.

“When no one ever thought this guy could ever change, and that guy cared about him,” Willie said. “He was courageous, and he walked in that bar expecting there to be a change. And he sat down in an adversarial situation and preached the Gospel.”

Later in the clip, Willie mentions how that preacher’s obedience to share the Gospel with his father started a chain reaction that still impacts lives today.

“If he doesn’t do that, if my father doesn’t obey the Gospel, if my mother does not forgive him, if they don’t stay together, and that family doesn’t stay together, I’m not standing here right now talking to everybody that’s hearing my voice,” he said.

Romans 1:16 “For I have no feeling of shame about the good news, because it is the power of God giving salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and then to the Greek.”

3 Doors Down Lead Singer Opens Up About Spreading Message of Christ's Love at Concerts

Brad Arnold, the lead singer of the rock band 3 Doors Down, has opened up about sharing Christ’s love on stage with concertgoers. Musicians have a powerful platform, and Brad uses his position to let concert attendees know that Christ loves them. Watch this clip!

When people purchase a concert ticket, especially for a mainstream, secular rock band like 3 Doors Down, they expect to hear them play their biggest hits. That’s precisely what most bands do. Sure, they may not play every single one of your favorite songs, but for the most part, you are left satisfied.

But those who go to a 3 Doors Down concert will not only hear songs like “Kryptonite,” “Away from the Sun,” “Here Without You,” and “Be Like That,” but they will also hear something else. That something else is much more important than any song played during the show. It’s a message about Christ’s love for them and how He loves and cares for them despite their sins and failings.

Lead singer Brad Arnold shares that message. In a clip posted on YouTube, he explains why he decided to use his time on stage to talk about Christ’s love.

“Last year, I was just praying about the tour before we went out on tour,” Brad said. “Then, in a prayer, just heard God’s voice say, ‘I want you to tell them that I love them.’”

Later in the clip, Brad added he does not consider himself a good public speaker. But if he is going to talk to the crowd during the show, he wants to use his words to share the love of Christ with those in attendance.

“If I’m going to use a moment on stage to talk, then I want to give glory to God, and I want to take a chance to tell people that Jesus loves them,” Brad said.

1 Corinthians 1:17 “For Christ sent me, not to give baptism, but to be a preacher of the good news: not with wise words, for fear that the cross of Christ might be made of no value.”

‘Little House on the Prairie’ Star Melissa Gilbert on Show’s Timeless Appeal

Mellisa Gilbert, one of the stars of Little House on the Prairie discussed the show’s timeless appeal. The show is one of the most beloved television programs of all time. Melissa talked about some of the reasons why she believes it continues to connect with audiences.  Be sure to check out this clip!

Some movies and television programs are so easy to watch, no matter how many times you’ve seen them. Even though you may know every line and plot point by heart, that familiarity doesn’t diminish the viewing experience. In fact, it may even add to it, becoming even better with each additional viewing.

Shows like Gilligan’s Island, The Andy Griffith Show, The Brady Bunch, The Office and Seinfeld are examples of beloved shows that are familiar, binge-worthy and deserving of multiple viewings. They are classic shows, television at its best.

Little House on the Prairie is another program that fits perfectly in that list. In a clip posted on YouTube, celebrating the show’s 50th anniversary, Melissa discussed why she believes it continues to be popular.

“You know, a lot of people will say it’s because the stories are about, you know, community and family and love and acceptance – all the good things in life that we all crave,” she said. “But we were also telling the stories of America in 1974 through the lens of 1874. We were telling stories of veterans coming home from Vietnam, but it was the Civil War. We were telling stories of them coming home drug-addicted. We were telling the stories of racism, Antisemitism and chauvinism.”

She added, “I think Little House on the Prairie told those stories in a non-exploitative way and taught people what is really most important.”

Little House on the Prairie is a show that can likely be seen on some channels at all hours of the day.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Heroic Officers Brave Flames to Rescue Elderly Woman from Burning House

God uses everyday people to do extraordinary things in life's most critical moments. We see this time and again in stories of courage and sacrifice. In this incredible story, heroic officers brave huge flames to rescue an elderly woman trapped in a burning house.

It was late at night when a passerby in Millburn, New Jersey, noticed a house going up in flames. They called 9-1-1, and the Millburn police arrived on the scene first. Two of the household members were able to make it through the flames to safety, but the 83-year-old grandmother was still trapped inside. Despite the intense heat and thick, suffocating smoke, two heroic officers acted without hesitation. Determined to find her, one of the officers crawled through the blaze, doing his best to avoid the flames and smoke. When he finally found her, he carried her through the inferno to safety. She was immediately given first aid as soon as they reached safety.

Can you imagine what would’ve happened if the officers had chosen to wait for the firefighters to arrive on the scene? This story might have turned tragic. The officers' courage and teamwork are a testament to the faith, courage, and purpose these officers had that night. It took less than five minutes for the officers to make a difference; they humbly credit this bravery to just doing their jobs. It’s clear God’s hand was at work, using their courage to save a life.

In moments like this, we catch a glimpse of God’s heart. He empowers us and uses our unique gifts and strengths, and then He equips us with what we need to make a difference in the lives of others. Sometimes He uniquely uses us in moments of danger or in moments of giving comfort. Other times, it’s in the small and steady acts of kindness we show others.

That’s the beauty of God’s grace and power as He uses us in His plans. We don’t have to be perfect or fearless like these heroic officers; we only need to be willing.

Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Selfless School Janitor Moved to Tears by Heartwarming Secret Santa Gift

An unexpected and heartwarming Secret Santa gift moved a selfless school janitor to tears. The woman was overwhelmed by the kindness and love shown to her, and as a result, the tears started flowing. This is a beautiful moment that you’ll want to watch for sure!

Everyone has plans and things they want to do and accomplish. However, we all know that life often gets in the way of those well-thought-out plans and goals. Situations and circumstances entirely out of our control will arise seemingly out of nowhere, forcing us to reassess and change our priorities and goals.

There are also instances in which other people need a little help. Lending them some much-needed assistance can sometimes force our needs, priorities and goals to take a back seat. Thinking for and caring about others ahead of oneself is precisely what Wendy, an elementary school janitor, has done.

A clip posted on YouTube mentions that she gave up her only reliable means of transportation to her sister. Wendy now drives a truck that is riddled with problems. The selfless school janitor also cares for her elderly mother, who lives with her.

Wendy, the kind, loving, and selfless school janitor, was surprised at work by some of the kindness and love that she so often shows others. First, she was surprised with a check for $1,000. That monetary gift caused a catch in her throat and tears to well up in her eyes.

But that wasn’t all.

Wendy was also given the keys to a new car. This was too much for the woman who thinks of others ahead of herself. She simply could not believe it, and tears started rolling down her face.

“Thank you so much,” Wendy said to the camera and the person who made those gifts possible. “I don’t even know what to say; I’m sorry. Miracles happen. What a day.”

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”

Daily Devotion for 31Oct

God brings “new life” to those that are willing to accept Him and His will. What are you waiting for? #toughquestionsforgod #dailydevotion #toughquestionsforgoddailydevotions

Country Music Star Walker Hayes’ Path to Christ Through Heartache and Healing

Country music star Walker Hayes found his way to Jesus Christ through a path of heartache and healing. After years of struggle, hurt, disappointment and unbelief, Walker eventually found Jesus Christ and turned his life over to Him. Walker’s testimony is powerful and moving.

The Bible says that everyone is a sinner, having fallen short of the glory of God. All have turned their backs on Him, choosing, in their arrogance, ignorance and disobedience, their way instead of following Christ. Nevertheless, despite our sins and transgressions, Christ is constantly reaching out and calling our names. He’s the good, loving, faithful Shepherd who always looks for the lost sheep.

Musician Walker Hayes was a lost sheep, as we all were at one time or another. But after some enormous hurt, loss and a battle with alcohol, Walker has found Jesus Christ, and his testimony is moving, powerful and likely to bring you to tears.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Walker shares how he came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. As a young man, Walker and his wife moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue country music. Eventually, he scored a record deal and a hit song, but he started developing a drinking problem.

In 2014, Walker and his family were invited to a church service. Walker went even though he considered himself an atheist. Over the next few years, Walker and the pastor of that church service became friends.

Walker eventually lost his record deal in 2015. He and his wife had five children at the time. Things got so bad that the record label even repossessed the family’s van.

Then, in 2016, Walker got another record deal, but his pastor friend refused to give up on him. Walker said that he would believe God was real if God could take away his desire to drink, and that’s exactly what He did.

“When he quit on that Saturday, it wasn’t, it wasn’t with the intent of ‘I’m done drinking,’” Laney Hayes, Walker’s wife, said. “It was just one day he wasn’t drinking, and then the next day he didn’t, and then the next day, and it’s miraculous that he stopped that way.”

But as the clip states, in 2018, the Hayes family lost their baby girl, Oakley, soon after she was born.

“I found myself screaming at a God that I didn’t believe was there,” Walker said. “I would just stand out in my driveway and yell at someone.”

Following his daughter’s death, Walker wanted a change, a transformation and a healing from what he said was the “disease of me.”

“I went and got a Bible and just started reading, and reading and reading and reading,” he said.

Laney said watching her husband’s transformation and the Holy Spirit work in him was “incredible.” Soon after, Walker turned his life to Christ, accepting Him as his Lord and Savior.

The former hard-drinking atheist was now a son of God.

“I wish my life said, ‘All I ever want is just Jesus, that’s it,’” he said.

Man and Woman Marry After First Meeting as Babies in the NICU

A man and a woman married after first meeting as babies in the NICU. Their love story started as babies in a hospital’s intensive care unit. It seems that these two people were almost destined to be together.

Every married couple has a unique story. Typically, the highlights include when and how they met, their first date, how the big question was popped and their wedding day. Of course, the details of each of those moments will vary dramatically depending on the couple. Those are memories that both will cherish for the rest of their lives.

For one couple – Hayden and Rachel Sackey – their love story began soon after they entered the world. Theirs is a beautiful story that will surely bring a tear or two or maybe even three to your eye. According to the video posted on YouTube, Hayden and Rachel actually met as babies in the neonatal intensive care unit.

“I was born premature,” Rachel said. “I had a condition called hydrocephalus, which is fluid on the brain.”

“I was born at one pound, five ounces,” Richard said. “So, I was extremely little, and I was also born premature.”

Richard and Rachel added that both of their mothers have remained friends since they were in the NICU, which led to Richard and Rachel staying in touch long after they left the hospital. Eventually, Richard and Rachel began dating. Through a series of unforeseen circumstances, their first date took place in the hospital, where they met as babies.

The hospital where they first met continued to play a significant role in their relationship. They went to prom together and spent some of that evening visiting the hospital and its staff.

Then, in September 2024, Richard and Rachel tied the knot. But they have still not forgotten the place that brought them both together. They regularly visit the children and the families in the NICU.

“We wanted to show any of the parents that are here, nurses, the doctors, I mean, we’re an example of what could happen,” Richard said.
