Mother Reduced to Tears by Unexpected Words from Stranger

A mother was reduced to tears by unexpected words from a stranger. A few simple but surprising words were enough to cause this mother to respond with tears. She was obviously taken aback by the message. This is a clip that you will want to watch for sure.

The person who first said, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” could not have been more wrong. Yes, sticks and stones, when thrown in our direction, will cause immediate physical pain. But words, contrary to the famous saying, do hurt. They have the power to cause harm and bring about destruction. Also, they can be used for good—to build someone up, motivate and encourage.

The Bible makes the power of words clear in a handful of passages. In Ephesians, Christians are warned against allowing foul or corrupting talk to leave our mouths. Instead, the only words we should say are those that will help build people up and not tear them down. We should always choose our words carefully. Once a word or a phrase leaves our mouth, it’s impossible to put it back in and to have unsaid it.

A short but sweet clip on social media perfectly captures the power of words. A mother discusses what she just encountered on a walk with her children. The incident touched her so much that she was moved to tears when retelling it.

“The sweetest thing just happened,” she said. “I was just finishing my walk, and we were, you know, just pulling down our street, walking down our street, and this old man, he, like, stopped. Cause, you know, got the double-wide stroller, it takes up a whole space. And he goes, ‘Wow, you’re going to have a lot of fun.’”

At this point in the clip, Mom starts to become emotional. A kind and sweet message from a stranger caught her completely off guard.

The words we say matter. A cruel or careless word here or there could significantly impact someone else. That’s why we should always be cautious and exercise discretion when speaking to, about and around others.

Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and those to whom it is dear will have its fruit for their food.”

Woman’s Faith in God’s Will Leads to Life-Saving Transplant and True Love

One woman’s faith in God’s will leads to a life-saving transplant and true love. Jennifer badly needed a lung transplant, and doctors were not giving her much hope of finding a match. But God came through and provided her with a match and much more.

Good health is indeed a blessing. Sadly, it’s also one that many of us too often take for granted. We go about our lives believing we’ll remain in good health for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, health challenges and difficulties can spring up out of nowhere.

Jennifer knows all too well what it means to face health difficulties. She was born with a condition impacting her lungs. Eventually, after 30 years, Jennifer was at the point where she badly needed a double lung transplant. If she did not get the surgery, she would die. One doctor did not give her much hope, telling her she believed Jennifer would die waiting for a match.

As Jennifer explains in the clip posted on YouTube, she refused to pray for a match because she knew that meant someone’s life would have to end. Instead, she states that she put her faith and trust in God’s will.

And like He so often does, the Lord came through in a big way!

Seven days after the doctor’s horrible message, Jennifer learned there was a match. Jennifer would get her life-saving surgery. She would undergo that double-lung transplant. But God wasn’t done working in Jennifer’s life.

Jennifer and Travis, the brother of the woman whose lungs Jennifer received, began chatting on Facebook. This eventually blossomed into a real, actual friendship and eventually marriage.

“And although it took me 40 years to find him, if it wasn’t for Jill checking that box and become an organ donor, and saving my life, I would not have had the gift of life and, most importantly, the gift of love,” Jennifer said.

Jeremiah 32:27 “See, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything so hard that I am unable to do it?”

College Football Player Steps Up to Care for Siblings After Losing Mom

A college football player stepped up in a big way to care for his siblings after their mother passed away. This story and example of love and kindness will bring a tear, or two or three, to your eyes. Be sure to check out this heartwarming story.

Life is not a fair experience. Anyone who does believe life is fair is either incredibly wrong or downright crazy, but probably a little bit of both. Sure, there are many joyful occasions and reasons for celebration. However, there are also instances that result in immense pain, sorrow and heartache.

Through no fault of our own, we’ll find ourselves dealing with and in the middle of hardships. Situations or circumstances will spring up that cause life to become immensely more difficult. Armorion Smith and his siblings know this reality all too well. Their mother passed away due to cancer, leaving them without someone to care for and watch out for them.

Armorion, a Michigan State football team member, stepped up and answered the call, filling that role. As a 21-year-old student-athlete, he agreed to become the legal guardian for his siblings. So, now he’s not only juggling the duties and requirements of being a student-athlete but also as a caretaker for his siblings.

The clip posted on YouTube mentions that Armorion’s stepping up to become his siblings’ legal guardian fulfilled a promise made to his mother before she passed.

“If I don’t step up, who could they turn to?” Armorion said. “I’m just happy we’re all together; that’s just the biggest thing. I’m going to be their protector.”

The video states that Armorion is always there for his siblings to offer them words of wisdom and encouragement—to help them in the classroom or elsewhere.

“No matter what I do, he’s always trying to make sure I’m going in the right direction,” Armond, Armorion’s younger brother, said.

Romans 12:10 “Be kind to one another with a brother’s love, putting others before yourselves in honor;”

Disabled Woman Deeply Moved by Man’s Simple But Kind Gesture

A disabled woman was deeply moved by a man’s simple but kind gesture. Although his kind act may not have been viewed as much in the eyes of many, the gesture meant the world to one woman. Be sure to check out this heartwarming story!

Our words and actions can significantly influence those around us, even if we don’t think so. Our actions, even simple, seemingly meaningless and insignificant ones, can have a massive impact on the lives of others. We may never see the negative or positive effects of our deeds, but what we do or say can have long-ranging repercussions.

What we consider a small, unimportant and inconsequential act of kindness may be seen by someone else as huge. It could impact their entire day, week or year. That small act of kindness could totally change how someone else views the world. That’s why we can never be too sure how much or little what we say or do will impact and influence others.

A sweet, heartwarming clip posted on YouTube shows how great an impact even small gestures of kindness can have on someone else. Liz Marshall, affectionately known as the “butterfly lady,” suffers from Parkinson’s disease. It has gotten progressively worse over the years, and now she is unable to walk.

Liz was sitting on her porch when the garbage truck came by to empty the trash cans sitting along the curb. When the truck reached Liz’s house, the driver, Terrance Davis, did something unusual and unexpected. Instead of leaving her trash cans sitting along the curb, he took them up the driveway and gave them to her. Liz was moved by Terrance’s simple but meaningful act of kindness.

“You don’t even begin to know what a blessing that was to me that day that you noticed me on the porch,” Liz said to Terrance. “Because when you become, when you’re disabled, a lot of times you become invisible. And even though you had a lot going on, you were dodging trash cans and kids and cars, you made an effort to stop, and it meant the world to me.”

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”

Retiree Finds New Purpose Spreading Joy as School Bus Driver

One man, a retiree in his 70s, has found a new purpose in spreading joy as a school bus driver. This is such a sweet and heartwarming story—one that you will surely not want to miss. Be sure to check out this clip!

For most people, retirement is a lifelong goal. They earnestly and diligently plan for it and eagerly await it. When retirement becomes a reality, many individuals use their newfound freedom and extra time to travel, tackle that project around the house that has been put off for years or spend even more time with their grandchildren.

Typically, the last thing on most people’s minds during retirement is starting a new career or getting a 9-5 job. At the very least, they want to kick back and take it easy. But Bill Nagle is not everyone. After retiring, the 72-year-old former food sales manager came out of retirement to drive a school bus.

A clip posted on YouTube explains how Bill became a school bus driver. He is now using his newfound position and purpose to spread joy to students, teachers and school administrators. Bill has quickly become beloved in the school system and has even picked up a nickname: “Mr. Bill.”

“I retired from my food job that I had for 35 years, and I passed this building and saw a school bus with a sign on it that they were hiring,” Bill said.

According to the clip, he answered the call and has been driving since seeing that help-wanted ad.

Bill and the students on his bus traveling to and from school belting out tunes together, such as “The Wheels on the Bus.” He even has the children make animal sounds as they exit the bus.

“He’s an awesome guy,” said the school’s principal. “He takes time to learn students’ names. You can hear his bus coming up the street because usually, he’s on the loudspeaker.”

Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you full of joy and peace through faith, so that all hope may be yours in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
