This New Mom Wasn’t Sure About Motherhood—Then Everything Changed

This new mom wasn’t sure about motherhood, and then everything changed. She initially had strong reservations about becoming a parent, but now her attitude and outlook on the situation have changed dramatically. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear the mother describe how she initially was very apprehensive and anxious about being a parent, and how she now has a very different perspective and feelings.

Being a parent is one of the greatest blessings anyone can experience on Earth. In fact, many would argue, I believe rightfully so, that welcoming a child into your home is the best thing that can happen to anyone. Children are a gift from the Lord above, and they should be treated as such.

However, as every parent knows, there are typically many questions, uncertainty and even fear that arise before the child arrives, especially for first-time parents. Will I be a good parent? How will I do this or that? What if the child needs that, and I’m unable to provide the thing they need most? Children will forever change your lives in every way imaginable, so being a little unsure and uncertain seems to be completely understandable.

In a clip posted on social media, a young woman shared that she was more than a little unsure about becoming a parent. Even after becoming pregnant, she remained unsure whether she was up to the challenge of motherhood. Did she even want to be a mom?

However, as she adds, she has completely changed her mind about being a mother. In her opinion, being a parent is one of the greatest things in the world, a sentiment sure to elicit near-universal agreement.

“I had her, and it’s been three days,” she said. “She’s three days old, and I want 75 of these. I want 75 of them. I’m already thinking in my mind, like, when can I do this again? The hormones that flood your brain that get rid of any thoughts of labor or discomfort or any, all the money that you’ve spent on them so far, it completely wipes out your brain. And it creates new memories of this is the best thing in the entire world that's ever happened to me. So, now I understand why people have like five of these things.”

Psalm 127:3 “See, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

Elderly Woman’s Adorable Gardening Assistant Will Melt Your Heart

This elderly woman’s adorable gardening assistant will melt your heart. These two have quite the green thumb, or paw. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see who helps this woman with her gardening and how.

Aren’t dogs the best? I mean, how can someone not like dogs? Even those who would not consider themselves animal people still must have a soft spot in their hearts for them. As we all know, they are referred to as man’s best friend, and that’s a title that they have earned, and we see more and more examples of why every day.

Dogs are some of the most loving, kind and loyal creatures on this planet. Show a canine a little bit of kindness and attention, and you have yourself a friend for the rest of your life. Also, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been gone for five minutes, five days or five months; upon your return, that dog will be sitting there waiting for you, just wanting to jump about as they give you big, wet, slobbery kisses.

Since we are all well aware of the loving and kind nature of dogs, it should be no surprise that whenever we hear of something else one is doing or has done for someone else. However, those stories never fail to further deepen our appreciation for those four-legged, furry creatures.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman in her 90s stays active by gardening. She enjoys planting flowers in her front yard. However, this 96-year-old grandmother does not do this alone. She gets some special assistance from Chewy, a Newfoundland dog.

With the dog by her side, the woman simply points to the spot in the yard where she’d like to plant the flowers, and her furry assistant gets to work. The animal immediately gets to work digging, making a hole for the woman to put the flower into, and it’s just about the cutest thing in the world!

Genesis 1:21 “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”

This Nurse Comforts Patients with His Musical Talents

This nurse brings comfort to patients using his musical talents. The medical professional soothes and helps alleviate fears and worries in an unexpected but incredibly welcomed way. Watch this short but heartwarming clip to see and hear how this nurse uses music to bring about smiles and comfort to hospital patients.

Visiting hospitals is rarely, if ever, an enjoyable experience. That sentiment is especially true if you’re the one being taken to the hospital. That’s because we feel, much like The Office’s Michael Scott so correctly and wisely stated about hospitals, “in my mind, they are associated with sickness.”

We want to avoid visiting the hospital as much as possible. While the absurd, borderline criminal cost of health care in the United States is not the primary reason, it certainly does not help matters. No, this fear is because anything can happen when in the hospital. Sure, those nurses and doctors may be upstanding, perfectly pleasant people at the top of their profession. However, having that knowledge does little to nothing to keep from making a hospital visit any less nerve-racking and anxiety-inducing.

Understandably, most people in the hospital are fearful and full of nerves. In a clip posted on social media, one nurse is doing what he can to bring comfort and relief to patients, and it has nothing to do with temperatures, IV drips or blood pressure. The nurse, Rodelio “Rod” Salaysay, uses his musical gifts to bring smiles to those in the hospitals.

In the video, Rod plays The Beatles’ classic “Here Comes the Sun” on the ukulele as he belts the lyrics made famous by Paul McCartney, John Lennon and the rest of the lads from Liverpool. About halfway through the video, the camera pans to reveal that Rod is playing for a young lady lying in a hospital bed. She has a big smile on her face.

If Rod, through his musical performances, can bring even a moment of relief to those in the hospital, it would have mattered a great deal, making their time there a little more pleasant and a little less frightening.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Evangelist Jay Lowder on the Awakening Sweeping College Campuses: 'I've Never Seen This'

Evangelist Jay Lowder joins Crosswalk Talk's Michael Foust to break down the powerful spiritual movement unfolding on college campuses across America. He shares what happened at a recent event where more than 500 students made decisions for Christ -- and why he says the hunger among Gen Z is unlike anything he’s seen in 20-plus years of ministry. Lowder also explains the difference between a revival and a true spiritual awakening, and why that distinction matters right now. Plus, he opens up about his own journey from a suicide attempt to a life devoted to helping others find hope in Christ.

Stuff Will Happen

Jesus said there would be tests and trials. No need to be taken by surprise. Jesus said these things would happen. What Jesus said at the end of that scripture...BE OF GOOD CHEER when stuff happens, because He has overcome the world!

When was the last time a Bible verse just popped into your head exactly when you needed it?

In this episode of the Praying Christian Women podcast, Jaime and Alana dive into the often-overlooked spiritual discipline of Scripture memorization—why it matters, what gets in our way, and how to actually do it as adults.

What does it look like to hide God's Word in your heart when life feels too busy and your brain feels too full? Jaime and Alana share personal stories, practical strategies, and honest confessions about the "blocks" that keep us from memorizing Scripture—from feeling too old, to frustration with changing Bible translations, to the overwhelm of not knowing where to start.

Along the way, they unpack creative tools that work at any age—setting verses to familiar tunes, using hand motions, breaking passages into manageable chunks, and asking reading-comprehension questions to slow down and absorb the text. Alana shares how Bible quizzing as a teenager shaped her ability to memorize entire chapters of Matthew, while Jaime offers a fresh perspective on why we can't always rely on our phones to bring God's Word to mind.

Whether you're a seasoned Scripture memorizer who has fallen out of practice or someone who has never tried it before, we hope you'll join us as we rediscover the joy, depth, and lasting fruit of committing God's Word to memory—one verse at a time.

Prayer for God's Ways Over Our Own | Your Daily Prayer

It’s easy to chase what we think will make us happy—comfort, success, or control over our circumstances. But true peace isn’t found in getting everything we want… it’s found in learning to delight in God.

Today’s prayer is rooted in Psalm 37:4, reminding us that when we take deep joy in the Lord, He transforms our hearts and aligns our desires with His perfect will.

If you’ve been feeling restless, discontent, or pulled toward your own plans instead of God’s, this prayer will help you surrender, refocus, and find true satisfaction in Him alone.

A Prayer for When Life Feels Like It’s Falling Apart | 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

When life feels like it is slowly falling apart, it can be hard to hold on to hope. Things wear down, plans change, relationships struggle, health fades, and our hearts can grow weary under the weight of it all.

Today’s prayer reminds us of the promise in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18: even though our bodies are wasting away, our spirits are being renewed day by day. What we see now is temporary, but what God is preparing is eternal.

If you feel tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed by the brokenness around you, this prayer is for you. May God renew your strength, steady your heart, and help you fix your eyes on the eternal hope found in Jesus.

Father’s Tear-Jerking Message on How the Mess Is a Blessing

A father shared a tear-jerking message on how the mess is a blessing. This dad understands his child will only be little for a short time, so he’s going to appreciate every minute of it, even the messy parts. Watch this short but powerful clip to hear what this father had to say about cherishing every moment with your children.

Everyone who is a parent will agree that there is nothing like it. There is no greater blessing on Earth than being a parent. Watching them grow, learn and explore is an experience unlike any other. Children are a gift from the Lord and should be treated as such.

However, as all parents also understand, those children do not stay little for long. Before you know it, that baby you brought home from the hospital is ready to head off to kindergarten, and you’re doing everything you can to keep the tears from flowing. Blink, and they are starting high school. Do it again, and now they’ve graduated and are now backing out of your driveway, heading to college.

So, that’s why it’s important to cherish every moment with your children, even those messes, especially the messes. In a clip posted on YouTube, a father reflects on a recent interaction with his 4-year-old daughter. His powerful, heartwarming and tear-jerking message reminds parents that powerful, beautiful memories can even come from those messes.

“I think, too often, we forget that what looks like a mess to us is actually a memory being built in real time, right in front of us, for both of us,” he said. “It’s just her little body saying, ‘Hang out in my world for a minute, Dad. Before I grow up, will you meet me here?”

That’s an incredibly powerful message and a reminder to slow down and cherish the time with our children because once they are gone, they are gone forever.

Ephesians 6:4 “And, you fathers, do not make your children angry: but give them training in the teaching and fear of the Lord.”
