Dolly Parton Opens Up About the Loss of Her Husband, Carl Dean

Dolly Parton opened up about the loss of her husband, Carl Dean. The entertainment legend remembered her beloved husband in an interview on The Today Show, talking about what he meant to her and how she’s coping with the loss. Watch the short but moving clip as Dolly talks about life since losing her husband.

Unfortunately, in life, we will all experience painful and agonizing situations. Pain, hurt and heartache are unavoidable. They are, sadly, facts of life, and there will be circumstances that will undoubtedly result in unexplainable sorrow and grief. Living on Earth without going through a fair share of agonizing and devastating experiences is impossible.

Easily and without question, one of the most sorrowful and grief-stricken experiences is losing a spouse. When that happens, it can often feel like losing a part of yourself. There is arguably no closer relationship on Earth than that between spouses, and whenever that connection is broken with one of them passing away, it is often absolutely devastating. Doing life without this person can feel next to impossible, a monumental and nearly impossible task.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Dolly talked about the passing of her husband, Carl Dean. She understandably gets choked up talking about the loss and how deeply his death has impacted her. The two were married for nearly 60 years.

“I’ve loved him since I was 18 years old,” she said. “And, it’s a big adjustment. Just trying to change patterns and habits, and I’ll do fine. And I’m involved in my work, and that’s been the best thing that could happen to me. But I’ll always miss him, of course, and always love him.”

Following her husband's passing, Dolly said many people reached out to her. She received a ton of cards, letters and flowers from people all over the world.

Losing a loved one, especially a spouse, is always painful, and our prayers are with Dolly and her family.

Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Heroic Officers Save Unconscious 2-Year-Old Who Had Fallen Into Pool

A group of heroic police officers saved an unconscious 2-year-old girl who had fallen into a pool. The youngster was not breathing when officers arrived on the scene, but they refused to give up on her. Watch the short but powerful clip to see the officers save the child’s life.

Life is a precious gift and should be treated as such and protected in every way possible. It’s a series of unpredictable events, and we never know what may happen from one moment to the next. Anyone who says they know what will happen the next year, day or hour is either a liar or insane. Unfortunately, as we all likely know, a loved one could be here one minute and then gone the next. Life can change instantly, in a moment, for either better or worse.

As a clip posted on YouTube shows, a young child’s life was in danger. She had fallen into a pool, was unconscious and not breathing. That was the situation a handful of emergency responders encountered when they arrived on the scene. Immediately, they started performing life-saving maneuvers on her, desperately and frantically trying to get her breathing again.

The child, who was not breathing when officers arrived on the scene, did not have a pulse, had purple lips and her skin was pale, an officer said in an interview. But her frightening state did not stop the officers from trying.

Suddenly, after what likely felt like forever, the young girl began breathing, trying to get air into her lungs. After the youngster regained consciousness and started breathing again, she was rushed to the hospital.

Those officers saved that little one’s life. She was on the brink of death, and they rescued her. Those men and women deserve all the praise and recognition they receive because of their heroic, life-saving actions.

Psalm 107:28 “Then they send up their cry to the Lord in their sorrow, and he gives them salvation out of all their troubles.”

Lauren Daigle on Choosing Things that Will Make a Long-Lasting Impact and Bear Good Fruit

Lauren Daigle stressed the importance of doing and investing in things that will make a long-lasting impact and bear good fruit. The popular Christian music artist stated how she is concerned about doing things that will bear good fruit in the long run, even after she is gone.
Watch the short but moving clip to hear Lauren’s powerful words about bearing good fruit.

Our time on this Earth is limited; no one will live forever. As ironic as it might sound, death is a part of life, and that is just a fact. So, knowing that our lives have an expiration date, it’s a good idea to put your time and effort into things that matter.

Share God’s Word and your testimony with someone. Offer a helping hand to an individual struggling. Impact and invest in someone else’s life. Participate in and practice things that will bear good fruit because, as Jesus says in Matthew, you will know them by their fruit.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Lauren shared how she was thinking about making a lasting impression on someone’s life, impacting them for good and living a life that bears good fruit.

“Don’t get caught up with the things that are temporal,” she said. “Where will your fingerprints last, even long after you’re gone? Spend time in those places. A lot of times, it’s with others.”

Later in the clip, Lauren mentioned how everyone will produce fruit, but will it be good or bad? She states that she is concerned about wanting to live a life that results in good fruit.

“And we will all have something to answer to,” she said. “What is the fruit of our life? And when I think about eternity and when I think about how short and long this life can often feel, I just want to know that I lived a life that bore a lot of fruit, good fruit, not bad fruit.”

John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches: He who is in me at all times as I am in him, gives much fruit, because without me you are able to do nothing.”

Marvel Star Sebastian Stan Fulfills Fan’s Wish in Heartwarming Make-A-Wish Moment

Marvel star Sebastian Stan fulfilled a fan’s wish in a heartwarming Make-A-Wish moment. The actor helped make the sick young lady’s dream become a reality. Watch the short but moving clip to see what Sebastian Stan did that helped to make this a day and a moment the young lady will never forget.

The world is a fallen, lost and broken place. Sin had wreaked havoc on society, leading to the destruction of marriages, families and careers. People are hurting and struggling, crying out for help. Everything has been made infinitely worse because of sin.

The fallout and repercussions of sin and disobedience are everywhere we turn. One way we see sin is in the breakdown of our bodies. Not only do our bodies get old and eventually wear out, but sickness and disease are prevalent. Sadly, not even the youngest and most innocent in our society – children – are exempt from pain and suffering.

One young woman, 18-year-old Aurora Dennison, suffers from a gastrointestinal disorder and severe, debilitating arthritis. These are conditions that she has battled for years and likely will for the rest of her life. When she’s having bad days, Aurora mentions there is one actor and character who could always make her smile: Marvel’s Bucky Barnes, who actor Sebastian Stan plays. As part of the Make-A-Wish program, the young woman was invited to the set of the latest Marvel film, “Thunderbolts*,” where she met Sebastian on her 18th birthday.

A clip posted on YouTube captured the heartwarming and tear-jerking meeting between Aurora and Sebastian.

“I was so grateful that I got to hug this person who has done so much for me,” she said.

“Aurora was amazing because she seemed to know everything about Bucky, maybe even better than I did,” Sebastian said.

However, a set visit, a hug and a couple of photos together was not all that Auror received during her time with the actor. He also helped her celebrate turning 18 by surprising her with cupcakes.

“I think any time that we have an opportunity to interact face-to-face and just see the amount of joy and gratitude that some of these kids have, you know, just from a simple 'Hello,’ fills you up,” Sebastian said.

Philippians 2:4 “Not looking everyone to his private good, but keeping in mind the things of others.”

How to Lean on and Trust God When Life Feels Uncertain and Out of Control

One woman discusses how we can lean on and trust God when life feels uncertain and out of control. Her message and words are powerful, and she shares some unique insights. Watch the short but moving clip about relying on God when the path forward is unclear and murky.

Everyone wants control in life and the knowledge of what the future holds. However, that is rarely, if ever, the case. That universal need and desire for control over our lives must be because control is comforting. If we have that control, we know what is coming and won’t be caught off guard. Also, we can prevent painful situations and circumstances if we have that power, or that must be the thinking, anyway.

But so much of life is uncertain and unclear. Situations arise that are completely and entirely out of our control. That is scary and frightening, for sure. However, we serve a God who is bigger and greater than anything we will face. He can provide us with peace beyond all understanding, even amid those turbulent and unpredictable circumstances.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one woman shares how we can learn to lean on and trust God during these particularly chaotic, tumultuous periods in life. She starts by pointing out God’s history. He has never let us down before, remaining always faithful in previous times when things were unclear and the future was muddled.

“Everything good in my life has not come the way I tried to plan it,” she said. “I’m serious – my job, my husband, the people closest to me – all of it either came in a different way or on a different timeline than what I originally planned. And now I can look back and celebrate how God was working in the moments of my life that felt like total chaos.”

She adds that we must continually surrender to God and His plans and understand that we do not have control. It’s a matter of learning and understanding that we have very little control over situations and circumstances, which is scary to most people.

She also points to Proverbs 16:9, which mentions that while we might have plans, God is ultimately in control.

Proverbs 16:9 “A man may make designs for his way, but the Lord is the guide of his steps.”

John Krasinski’s Kids Have the Funniest Reactions to 'The Office'

John Krasinski’s kids have the funniest reactions to “The Office.” One of the stars of the iconic television show shared how his two children responded after seeing a couple of episodes of the program. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear John describe how his kids responded to “The Office.”

“The Office” is one of the most beloved sitcoms ever. It’s a well-written and quotable program that can be watched repeatedly without growing tired of it. The show is also incredibly relatable. Who hasn’t worked in an office and encountered someone like Kevin, Meredith, Creed and Dwight? Hopefully, you have never had a boss like Michael Scott!

John Krasinski, who played Jim on “The Office,” was one of the show’s main characters. While not hiding how much he utterly despised selling paper, Jim constantly played hilarious pranks on Dwight and was head-over-heels in love with Pam, the office receptionist. In a clip posted on YouTube, John told Stephen Colbert that his children had just started watching “The Office” and shared their responses.

John mentioned that in one of the program’s early episodes, in which Michael pretends to fire Pam, his oldest daughter got pretty upset.

“They were watching the first episode, and my oldest, turns out she’s a screen-talker-atter,” he said. “So, she’s talking to the screen, and so when Steve fired Jenna, she goes, ‘What are you doing? What are you doing?’ And then she goes, ‘You’re a horrible person!’”

Then, when his other daughter spotted her father on the screen, she kept asking John if that was, in fact, him in the show. He told her it was him, but she refused to believe him.

“And she goes, ‘You look very different,’” he recalled. “And I said, ‘No, that’s me. I’m just playing a character,’ and she went, ‘That’s not you.’”

Ephesians 6:4 “And, you fathers, do not make your children angry: but give them training in the teaching and fear of the Lord.”
