One young woman seemingly stretched the laws of physics with her stunning and jaw-dropping ice skating routine.

Throughout the history of cinema, there have been several memorable films. Those flicks are classics and stick in our memories for different reasons. For “The Wizard of Oz”, it’s because of Dorothy's shiny red shoes and her “little dog, too.” When it comes to “Jaws,” it’s when they realize they are “going to need a bigger boat.” 

However, “The Matrix” films aren’t beloved classics because of a specific line of dialogue or a stellar performance, but for a mind-bending scene. Of course, it’s the scene in the first film when Neo slows time and contorts himself, bending his back to where it’s nearly parallel with the floor. 

In a video posted on YouTube, figure skater Sonja Hilmer practices and unveils a move like the one pulled off by Neo. Sonja even skates to a song from the film’s soundtrack.

Around the 39-second mark of the clip, Sonja, while skating at a breakneck speed, proceeds to lower herself down toward the ice and then contorts her back to where she is only inches from the ice. 

She even mimics Neo’s hand movements from the film as he twists and turns in order to avoid being struck by bullets fired by the evil Agent Smith. 

Then, without missing a beat, Sonja hops back up and completes her routine flawlessly. 

If her routine, complete with the Neo-type maneuver, wasn’t impressive enough, the young woman throws in a few jumps, twists and turns for good measure. 

As she strikes her finishing pose on the ice, the handful of people lucky enough to be on the scene as she put on that show of balance, strength and athleticism are blown away. It sounds as if several of them shout and cheer for the young woman.

One young man could not contain himself after learning he had been adopted.

Every child removed from their homes and birth parents has experienced some traumatic circumstances. All children want and deserve to be in a place and with someone who will care for and love them. Love, safety and security shouldn’t be too much to ask for, especially for a child.

In a clip posted on YouTube, 6-year-old Harvey was over the moon after learning that he had found himself a forever family and home. He was literally jumping for joy at the news.

The video begins with the little guy waiting as he reclines on a plastic chair outside on a porch. Seconds into the clip, a female voice tells Harvey they have something they must tell him.

“There’s something special that happened yesterday,” the woman tells the 6-year-old. “Do you know what might have happened yesterday?”

Harvey has no idea what may have happened during the previous 24-hour period.

The person holding the camera then pans to the right and reveals a man standing with a board with Harvey’s name. However, the man points to two words, “forever ours.”

Harvey is still a little confused about the meaning of those words. 

The man lets the little guy in on the big news.

“How about Harvey is officially adopted?” the man says.

Harvey sits up and lets out an audible gasp after learning he has an adoptive mother and father. 

He’s still unsure and proceeds to ask if what he has heard is correct.

“I’m adopted?” Harvey asks. “I’m adopted right now?”

He asks, “I’m going to stay here?”

Once his questions are answered, and he understands he does not have to leave, the little guy is over the moon.

The video ends with Harvey approaching the woman behind the camera for a hug.

One man could not believe his eyes when he saw that all four of his daughters had made it to his retirement party.

Parents want nothing but the best for their children. Regardless of how old their children may be, parents hope and pray that their kids are always happy, healthy and successful. Any parent wants this for their child.

As children tend to do, they grow up and start their own lives. This often means heading out into the world, starting a career, getting a job that takes them hundreds, possibly even thousands of miles away from their parents. Naturally, this means that children and parents won’t see each other regularly.

That’s why one man had such an emotional reaction when he saw all four of his daughters in person at his retirement party, a video on YouTube shows.

As the short clip’s narrator states, one man’s children flew in from different parts of the country to give their dear dad a big surprise. The father, who does not suspect a thing, turns the corner and proceeds to walk up the stairs.

He gets about halfway up and notices the four young women waiting at the top for him. He cannot contain his emotions. He immediately begins crying, knowing that it has been years since they have all been together.

Once he reaches the top of the stairs, it’s hugs, kisses and tears all around. He then thanks the good Lord above for bringing his children to him to help celebrate this special occasion.

“Thank you, Lord,” the man exclaims. 

He later adds, “What a surprise.”

It’s safe to say that he was more than a little happy to be seeing all of his children once again.

A pair of skaters showed off their immense skills on the ice during a stunning and captivating routine set to a hit from the 1970s, “All by Myself.”

Athletes, in order to reach and compete at the highest level, must invest an insane amount of time, blood, sweat and tears in their craft. They consistently and continually push themselves to their limit, trying to surpass what they previously thought possible. It’s only through thousands of hours of intense and highly focused practice that their potential can be realized.

A clip posted on YouTube shows the product of endless practice and extraordinary focus as two U.S. figure skaters – Oona Brown and Cage Brown – display their remarkable routine. The brother and sister duo take the ice and skate to Eric Carmen’s 1975 classic, “All by Myself.”

As soon as the song begins, the two tremendously talented skaters waste no time displaying their skills. They move about the ice with such finesse, skill and beauty, seemingly dancing around on the ice. 

Oona and Cage move around on the frozen surface with such beauty, grace and speed that it appears effortless. Their strength, athleticism and skill on the skates are evident from the opening seconds of their remarkable routine. 

Near the 1:25-minute mark, the two place their strength and athleticism on display. Using only one arm, Cage carries and raises his sister into the air. Then, in what is arguably the highlight of their routine, Cage once again lifts his sister into the air. However, this time, he twirls her around his head swiftly while spinning repeatedly on the ice.

While their routine is near perfect, it’s not without its mishaps. Around the 1:10-minute mark, Oona takes a tumble, falling on the ice. But she immediately pops back up, refusing to let one mistake keep her down.

At the end of the clip, the spectators erupt in thunderous applause. They show the talented duo their appreciation, which lasts for several seconds.

The song ‘Thank God I Do’ by Lauren Daigle was created during the uncertainty and isolation of the COVID-19 lockdowns, as the singer realized the importance of having specific people in her life for a specific purpose. And she shared about how the song came about in an interview.

“This song emerged out of COVID-19 lockdowns and uncertainties. Amid those experiences, I realized God puts specific people in your life for a particular reason. And I needed the people around me to keep my head above water,” she said. 

“With everyone stuck on Zoom during the pandemic, I started several girl’s groups to stay in touch with friends. Because nobody was out touring or interacting in person, the online groups allowed me to see my friends I couldn’t keep up with in a while. That led to this song about praising the Lord for the joy of being in a relationship with Him and for His provision of the right people at the right times.”

One young man showed off his increased level of intelligence when he solved a Rubik’s cube quickly, in just a matter of seconds.

Children are a blessing from the good Lord above. Each one has been gifted and blessed in their own unique ways. As such, children may begin displaying those gifts at an early age. Some children may exhibit an aptitude for sports, reading or in a number of other areas.

A clip posted on YouTube shows one young man, a 3-year-old, who apparently has a natural ability to solve puzzles, even difficult ones. By employing his intelligence and stunning dexterity, the young man solves the Rubik’s cube in a few seconds.

The short, minute-long clip begins with a close-up of the Rubik’s cube as the child sits, eagerly awaiting the colorful cube. The woman filming explains to viewers the current state of the cube.

“Look, I just want to show the people that this is mixed up,” she says. “It’s not the biggest mix, but for a 3-year-old, it’s mixed.”

With that being said, the woman hands the puzzle cube off to the child, who is all smiles.

“Go ahead, baby,” the woman says to the child.

The young man then begins twisting and turning the squares. It’s evident that the child, while looking at and examining the movable blocks, is looking for any and all discernable patterns.

As the young man turns the cube, he has his own personal cheering section. Another child can be heard giving the 3-year-old sweet words of encouragement.

“You can do it!” a cute little voice tells the child on camera tinkering with the cube.

Then, at approximately the 35-second mark of the clip, the child has done it! He has correctly moved and placed all the squares with the same color on the same side.

Pandemonium breaks out in the room as everyone cheers about the young man’s impressive and speedy accomplishment.

Some firefighters went above and beyond the call of duty when they assisted a disabled woman, carrying her up several flights of stairs.

Firefighters and police officers are some of society's most selfless, caring and dedicated people. Those men and women consistently put their personal safety on the line for the good of others. When most people are running from a dangerous, deadly scene, firefighters and police officers run toward it. 

In a video posted on TikTok, Fort Lauderdale, Florida Fire Department members helped a woman paralyzed from the waist down by carrying her up 13 flights of stairs. Text in the video pops up and states what is happening in the short clip. 

“POV: You’re paralyzed & stuck on floor 31 so the fire department rescues you,” the text reads. 

One of the firefighters carries the disabled woman on his back while a second man pulls along her wheelchair. 

In the video, as they continue to make their way up the stairs, a firefighter states, “This is why we train.”

Despite the firefighter's answer, the woman understands the situation is unusual. In the clip, she checks in on the man carrying her. She asked him whether she was choking him or not.

“A little bit,” the firefighter answered.

The woman explained the predicament in a follow-up video. She stated that in her apartment building, there was a flood on a floor below her, which put the elevators out of commission. She needed to get to an elevator in order to get out of the building. 

“I either had to get to floor 44 or floor 8 to cross over to the other side of the building. That way I can take the elevator down and get out of there,” she said.

She added that the men took turns carrying her, switching halfway through their journey up the 13 flights of stairs.

One man who had purchased tickets to a Johnny Cash concert was too sick to go, so the Man in Black brought the music to him.

Life is a series of unexpected twists and turns, sometimes arriving in places we never ever imagined. Unfortunately, sickness and diseases are often included in that journey. It’s a sad, tragic part of life. 

It was because of one fan’s unexpected cancer diagnosis that resulted in legendary country musician Johnny Cash visiting a fan in the hospital. 

As the video explains, Keith Flemming, an Australian man, had purchased tickets to see The Highwaymen in concert. Keith had every intention of going to see the supergroup but, unfortunately, was unable to make it to the show. 

Keith was diagnosed with lung cancer and being critically ill could not leave his hospital room to see the group, which included Johnny Cash. So, understanding the situation and knowing that Keith was a massive fan of Johnny’s, the “I Walk the Line” singer went to Keith.

Prior to the visit to see Keith, the video states that Johnny’s mother had passed away a few short months earlier, also from lung cancer. 

In the clip, Johnny introduces himself, shakes Keith’s hand and asks him how he’s doing. Johnny then leans over and gives the dying man a kiss on the cheek. 

Johnny then tells Keith that his absence at his concert was noticeable.

“Sorry you couldn’t make the show,” Johnny says. “We missed ya.”

But Johnny’s loving words weren’t the only ways he showed the sick man kindness. Johnny even put on a private concert for Keith, singing a couple of songs for him.

Johnny’s kind act and touching words likely meant the world to Keith and his family.

When we think of sea life, we think of the depth of the ocean, blue churning waters, and its inhabitants. The ocean and its creatures remain mysterious but of all the animals in the deep blue sea, whales leave us in awe. I don’t know if you’ve ever been out in the ocean and managed to witness a whale breaching the surface. The sight absolutely humbles you and reminds you there is a Creator.

It’s incredible to learn humpback whales swim 16,000 miles between their feed and breeding grounds, all the while capturing our fascination during their worldwide travels. God smiled down upon one man who managed to capture a rare sighting of humpback whales dancing in the ocean. 

In this viral video, we get to witness the absolutely rare splendor of three whales in a triple breach. Or whale ballet if you’d rather define this spectacular moment that way. 

In the video, three whales rise out of the water in unison as they surge upwards while doing a full rotation before gracefully swimming up under. The man who captured this incredibly rare moment will definitely remember it for a lifetime, and he will always have one whale of a tale to tell. 

This incredible sighting reminds me of God and all of his creation. Every creature has its proper environment where its meant to flourish. The Good Book reminds us that if we abide in Christ, he will abide in us, causing us to flourish. When we bloom where we’re planted, I imagine God is in awe of us too. 

“And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good,” Genesis 1:21.

Olga Korbut, a former gymnast, pulled off an unbelievable and astounding move during the 1972 Olympics, which has since been banned from the sport.

It’s abundantly clear that gymnasts, regardless of gender, are some of the world’s best athletes. The way in which they move, contort and spin their bodies is staggering and mind-blowing. To be a top-level gymnast requires loads of skill, strength, balance and athleticism. All of that is in addition to the single-minded dedication and the thousands of hours full of intense, focused practice. 

Gymnasts have been wowing spectators for some time now with their stupefying and unbelievable moves, including Olga Korbut. In a clip posted on YouTube, Olga pulls off a move that has since been banned, the “dead loop.”

The clip is a compilation of Olga’s performance at the Olympic games in Munich, Germany. It shows the young woman, who was only 17, performing a routine on the balance beam, the uneven bars and a floor exercise.

The early portion of the clip showcases Olga’s performance on the uneven bars, where she performs the “dead loop.” The young woman begins her routine by building up speed and momentum, swinging on the smallest bar. She then propels herself backward and catches onto the higher bar. 

At approximately the 10-second mark, Olga begins the “dead loop.” She stands up on the highest bar, flips backward, grabs the highest bar on her way down and propels herself forward. She then slings herself forward and toward the lower bar. 

Then Olga swings onto the lower bar, spins around once and catapults herself backward, latching onto the higher bar. 

The move is done so quickly and with such precision and finesse that it’s hard to believe that it actually happened. It’s mesmerizing, and you don’t even have to be a gymnastics fan to appreciate the stunning move.

A New Mexico State Police officer is a hero after rescuing a baby experiencing  problems breathing.

The men and women who work in law enforcement can encounter frightening scenes. Police officers are usually the first people on the scene during an emergency or immediately following one. 

That is what happened to New Mexico State Police officer Ismael Perez. He happened to be in the right place at the right time during an emergency and prevented it from being a fatal disaster.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Miguel Covarrubias hurriedly rushed his pregnant wife, who was in active labor, to the hospital when he caught the attention of police. Officer Perez spotted Miguel running a red light on his way to the emergency room. 

After Miguel and Officer Perez arrived near the front of the hospital’s entrance, the officer learned something was terribly wrong. The baby had been born in the car, but it was not breathing.

The clip mentions that during labor the baby boy’s umbilical cord had become “compressed.” That’s when Officer Perez sprang into action and utilized a maneuver. He began to pound on the child’s back, desperately trying to get the child to cry and breathe.

It eventually worked! In the video, the baby can be heard crying.

“I have three kids of my own,” Officer Perez said. “So, I’ve seen the doctors do that with my daughters because they came out of the womb the same way, not crying or anything. So, I did the same thing.”

Miguel said he was terrified at that moment, but was grateful for Officer Perez’s quick-thinking. 

The video also mentions that all three – Miguel, the baby boy and the mother – are doing fine.

A man in his mid-60s was finally able to properly celebrate his graduation from high school nearly 50 years after the fact.

No two people are the same. This is especially true when it comes to the classroom. Everyone learns in different ways and at various speeds. Some people can grasp and understand concepts with lightning-quick speed. Others may require more time, patience and understanding to comprehend a new thought or idea.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one man received a high school graduation ceremony after he missed his first one 47 years earlier.

The text in the video explains that as a teenager, Bishop Samuel Jones Jr. missed out on taking part in his high school graduation ceremony by a single point. His grade in a pre-algebra class was too low to walk across the stage and accept his high school diploma.

“I never got a heads up from any of my teachers, or from anyone [in school] that it was not gonna go in my favor,” a quote from Bishop Samuel Jones Jr. reads.

However, despite that initial setback, the video states that Jones, with a small amount of tutoring and extra time, was able to pass the class. He did eventually receive his diploma but never walked across the stage to get that piece of paper.

But Bishop Samuel Jones Jr.’s wife corrected that and surprised him with a ceremony celebrating his graduation from high school. In the clip, he enters the room blindfolded and is quickly dressed in a cap and gown.

Many of his close friends and family members are seated throughout the room, ready for the surprise ceremony.

The crowd erupts with thunderous applause as the blindfold is removed from his eyes.

What a beautiful ceremony. It's an example of love and kindness from all involved who helped to celebrate his educational accomplishment.

The reappearance of her daughter was too much for one woman to take as she momentarily fainted, unable to withstand the surprise.

Parents want nothing more than for their children to succeed and be happy. There is not much that any mother or father would not do if it meant a better life for their child. However, as all parents understand, children grow and eventually move out, creating a life of their own.

This means parents may not see their children as much as they’d like. Circumstances in a grown child’s life may take them several hundred, even thousands of miles away from their mom and dad. While parents know that children must be able to live their lives as they see fit, it doesn’t mean that parents enjoy being away from their offspring.

A short video posted on YouTube shows how much a woman missed her grown-up daughter. The 40-second clip, recorded in the Philippines, begins with a woman standing silently and unexpectedly at the back of an opened van.

Behind the woman, the van is decorated, complete with gold and green balloons and lettering that indicates that this is a birthday celebration. But then something unexpected happens right behind the woman with her back to the vehicle.

The vehicle’s front passenger side door swings open, and a young woman who wears a hat and a face mask and carries a bouquet of flowers emerges. 

Text in the video points out that the woman with the flowers is the daughter of the woman waiting near the vehicle. They have not seen one another for four years. The younger woman has been away, working abroad.

Once the young woman reaches her mother, the emotions are instant. The mother bursts into tears as she collapses into her daughter for a hug before passing out from shock and surprise. They both fall to the ground.

The video concludes with the two of them standing back up, but with mom never letting go of her daughter.
