A Note from That KEVIN…
November 6, 2026
This week in That Passport Life, we’re off to Manhattan for dinner at Gramercy Tavern and a Christmas classic on Broadway, to New Orleans for a Veterans Day tribute at The National WWII Museum, and to Basel, Switzerland, where a Ferris wheel beside a cathedral is as good a reason as any to make autumn last a little longer.
In our family, getting to a Broadway show once a year is a really big deal. So it’s been utterly delightful to be guests of the Broadway Association more than once already this fall. WANTED was last week’s treat. This week, the gem was It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. Give a radio guy an evening in Bedford Falls, complete with old microphones and a theater full of people singing Christmas carols, and you’ve got a very happy radio guy.
If you’re planning a holiday trip to the city, take a good look at what’s playing. I think you’ll be surprised and pleased by the variety. Much Ado About Nothing is already in previews, with Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell as Benedick and Beatrice. That’s Loki and Peggy Carter for those keeping score at home. I’d pay to hear those two argue in iambic pentameter. And still ahead is DOLLY: A True Original Musical, the story of the life and times of one of America’s most beloved treasures.
This holiday season, we’re also continuing a Christmas tradition that means a great deal to me: giving the gift of freedom. If you’d like to help free someone from slavery, visit BringHerHome.org or call 888.342.1010. Of all the gifts we could give this Christmas, I can’t think of one more precious.
And we come bearing a little Christmas music of our own. The Advent Star, a two-song single from The TEA Collective, is out now. We’d love for you to give it a listen and, if it finds a place in your Christmas, add it to your holiday playlist. You can find it on Spotify, Apple Music, and wherever you stream your holiday music.
This weekend on That KEVIN Show: Patrice Onwuka, Brian Kilmeade, Jonathan Roumie, and Luke and Joel Smallbone. Are you KiDDING me? I hope you’ll spend part of your weekend with us.
Thanks for taking us along on the journey. Now that Halloween and the truly scariest day in our nation—Election Day—are behind us, I’m ready to spend a little less time counting votes and a little more time counting blessings. We have plenty to be grateful for. And as Christmas draws near, we get to look forward to celebrating the coming of the One who is the answer to all of it: Jesus.
Blessings,
That KEVIN
