J. Jackson is the lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band). He and his wife, Lisa, have four daughters (Janna, Heather, Kelly, and Natalie), one son (T.J.), two son-in-laws (Rob and Max), one dog (Sparky), and two cats (Ozzy and Bongo).
ApologetiX specializes in Biblical parodies of rock and pop hits from yesterday and today, including everything from Elvis to Eminem, AC/DC to ZZ Top, Three Dog Night to Three Doors Down to Three Days Grace, The Beach Boys to The Backstreet Boys to The Beastie Boys and beyond.

It's kind of like "Weird Al" Yankovic meets Billy Graham … with a two-fold mission: to reach the lost and teach the rest. The band takes its name from the word "apologetics," meaning the defense of the Christian faith (1 Peter 3:15).

ApologetiX played its first concert as on March 27, 1992. Although not currently touring, the group is very active in the studio, usually releasing a new CD about every three months. Over the years, ApologetiX has played about 1500 concerts in all 50 states (and Canada) and has released 83 albums.

The 83rd ApologetiX CD, ApologetiX was released in September 2026. It features parodies of 12 hits from 1983.
