Southern Raised Bluegrass Performs 'Gentle On My Mind'

Are you in need of a musical “pick-me-up.” This is an incredible band with an inspiration flare. Southern Raised Bluegrass performs 'Gentle On My Mind.'

This group is so easy to listen to and has a beautiful sound. The banjo is skilled and artful, the vocals are smooth harmonies, the fiddle sings stunning solos, and the bass carries such a strong melody. This quartet is not only solid in their performance but excitingly in front of a beautiful river. It is blue jeans and blue grass for this group as they tell of the rivers flowing gently behind like a memory.

In this clip we see a joy filled quartet singing this classic hit by Glen Campbell, written by Chapin Hartford.

The chorus sings:

“That keeps you in the back roads by the rivers of my memory

That keeps you ever gentle on my mind”

I love how the group shapes the song in such a natural setting with their instruments. It is dreamy and entertaining. They have powerful voices and strong musical abilities and interpretation of this song.

God made so much creativity in music and in nature. It encourages us to see the visuals and hear this amazing performance while the group is standing in God’s creation. It causes us to have a sense of peace and feel as if we are there with them in the relaxing setting Southern Raised Bluegrass plays. We ponder our own memories and the constant flow of thoughts that we have to the tune.

Rivers remind us of God’s constant faithfulness. He says that He is our Living Water. As we watch this video, may we reflect ultimately on His gentleness and His gift of memory.

“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38

'What A Friend We Have In Jesus' Voices Of Gaither Live Performance

Check out this amazing live performance of 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus' by the Voices of Gaither and featuring Ann Downing, Gene McDonald, and Jason Crabb

“What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer! Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged— take it to the Lord in prayer.”

It is wonderful to hear all the Voices of Gaither performing this lovely hymn at the Mabee Center in Tulsa, OK. And the background of this hymn is also powerful to know.

'What A Friend We Have In Jesus' was written by Joseph Scriven, a transplanted Irishman in Canada. He was born in Ireland in 1819, and he had wealth, education, a devoted family, and a pleasant life in his native country. After college, he established himself as a teacher, fell in love, and was to be married. But his fiancée ended up drowning, and the only place that Joseph found solace was in Jesus.

Joseph then left for Canada to start a new life, and fell in love with a woman named Eliza Rice in the town of Port Hope. But she became sick and also died before Joseph and her were married. Joseph’s faith was the only thing that brought him through this tragic time. After a lot of time spent in prayer, Joseph took a vow of poverty, sold all of his earthly possessions, and vowed to give his life to the physically handicapped and financially destitute. He became known as “The Good Samaritan of Port Hope.”

Later in his life when Joseph became ill, a friend was visiting him when he found a poem beside Joseph’s bed. He asked who had written it, and Joseph responded saying "The Lord and I did it between us.” And after his death, the poem was put to music by Charles Converse and is the hymn we know and love today.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to the Voices of Gaither’s rendition of 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus' today!

'I Believe' Phil Wickham Official Music Video

Check out the new official music video for the song ‘I Believe’ by Phil Wickham.

“I believe there is one salvation, one doorway that leads to life, one redemption
One confession, I believe in the name of Jesus Christ, I believe in the crucifixion
By His blood I have been set free, I believe in the resurrection, hallelujah
His life is death’s defeat, all praise to God the Father, all praise to Christ the Son”

What an energetic song full of life and praise for our Heavenly Father! This new song was just released by Phil Wickham, and it is part of his new album that will come out in August of this year.

“It’s the title track of my next album, and a song I know I’ll be singing for years to come,” Phil Wickham shared online. “It’s a statement of faith and a praise party all at once. I can’t wait to share it and sing it with you all”

Phil Wickham also shared about the inspiration behind the song and rest of the album. "There are so many searching for truth, meaning, belonging, purpose, hope, fulfillment, peace and healing. I have found all of these things and more in the person of Jesus Christ,” he said. “I think the world is desperate to see and hear people full of hope, joy, love and confidence telling their stories about how Jesus saved and changed their lives, about how He is the best thing they have ever found, and He will be the best thing anyone will ever find.”

He continued: “My song ‘I Believe’ was written to shout about Jesus from the rooftops. Something that we as believers can unify together on and say with joy in our hearts that we believe in the mighty name of Jesus! I can’t wait to sing this one with you all. I’ve never put more time, effort and prayer into a project, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all when it releases on August 18th!"

What an awesome worship song that spreads the joy and hope of the Good News! May you find encouragement in ‘I Believe’ by Phil Wickham today.

'Here I Am' Citizens Official Live Acoustic Audio Video

Listen to this official live acoustic audio video for the song ‘Here I Am’ from the band Citizens.

“The more I run, the more I hide, I never seem to win that fight, no I don’t want a heart of stone
Too scared to love what I don’t know, oh Jesus come and stir my soul
Let love and mercy overflow, fear corrupts and makes me blind, I need a light that isn’t mine
Here I am, here I am, here I am, here I am, all I am, all I am, here I am, here I am”

This beautiful song is part of the latest record from Citizens titled I Can’t Find The Edges of You. It reminds us to be more connected to the present moment and to cherish being right where God is. The lyrics “close to You is still too far, I want to be right where You are” really bring that message home. In His presence is where we will find the fullness of life.

Citizens is a Seattle-based band that started in 2011. The members include Zach, Brian, Connor, Adam, and Daniel, and their songs are written with such honesty and artistry.

The band found quick endearment in the hearts and ears of people worldwide with their energetic alternative hymn arrangements. Then original songs started to come out of the group and told their stories of joy and pain and God’s grace in their lives. The members of Citizens share that their music has always been more than just for Christians, but for the whole world to hear and know that they are loved no matter what.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Here I Am’ from the band Citizens today!

Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

“Revival Broke Out” The Gaither Vocal Band Live Performance

With the release of Jesus Revolution in February of this year and the “Asbury Awakening” that occurred within days of the movie’s release and has spawned revival meetings all across the country, it seems only appropriate that The Gaither Vocal Band released a live performance of their new song, “Revival Broke Out.”

Here we see octogenarian Bill Gaither and the other four members of the Gaither Vocal Band, along with four band members perform what feels a little like a gospel rap! It’s fun, catchy, and tells a couple of great stories!

From left to right, we see Todd Suttles, Reggie Smith, Mr. Gaither, Adam Crabb, and Wes Hampton. Bill sits in the middle of the standing singers and starts the song by introducing a “true story,” which he says he witnessed himself. The first verse tells how a feud going back to the 1960’s was mended at the altar due to the power of revival!

The next example of revival restoration is about a woman filled with hate and shame. At 1.0 minute, Reggie Smith provides a vocal illustration of how burdened down she was for “a month of Sundays.” Sheila was her name, and she laid her troubles at the altar during revival. Sheila left those worries there!

With a peppy chorus, awesome baritone lines rendered by Mr. Suttles, and healing harmonizing by the gentlemen, “Revival Broke Out” inspires a desire to head to the tent to observe a few miracles for ourselves!

The guys wave their hands and pop up from behind the piano, singing about “tears and laughter” and “happy ever after.” With fingers pointed heavenward and toes tapping on the floor, they communicate joy! And the final two words of the song get to the real crux of the matter. When prayer and revival happen—everything changes!

Here’s to hoping for an epidemic of revivals, an avalanche of prayers for God-inspired changes, and a hundred more uplifting songs from the Gaither Vocal Band!

“Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.” Acts 2:2

Lauren Daigle Performs ‘Thank God I Do’ On Live With Kelly And Mark

Lauren Daigle, one of the biggest names in Christian music, sang her latest hit on one of the most popular daytime talk shows, Live with Kelly and Mark.

In just a matter of years, Lauren Daigle has skyrocketed to the top of the charts, quickly becoming one of the most recognizable names, not just in Christian music but all of music. Lauren’s massive talent is apparent in such songs as “Hold on to Me,” “Trust in You,” "Love Like This” and her smash crossover hit, “You Say.”

Now, with an upcoming tour and a new album due out soon, Lauren is out making the rounds, appearing on programs and sharing her beautiful voice.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Lauren performed “Thank God I Do” on the show that has undergone several name changes, Live with Kelly and Mark.

Accompanied only by a man playing the piano, Lauren belts out the touching and moving lyrics to her latest hit single. In the song, Lauren sings about enduring many nights filled with tears, facing her fears and being left with many questions.

Despite her trying circumstances, Lauren is relieved that she knows God because without Him she confesses she wouldn’t have made it.

In the hit song, Lauren, after having gone through so much, makes one request of God. She asks that He keep his hand of protection over her.

“I don’t know who I’d be if I didn’t know You
I’d probably fall off the edge
I don’t know where I’d go If You ever let go
So keep me held in Your hands”

To say her appearance on the popular program was well-received would be a massive understatement. At the conclusion of her stunning vocal performance, the studio audience erupts in a thunderous round of applause, cheers and shouts.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Celtic Woman Performs ‘The Dawning Of The Day’

A group of talented female vocalists turned in an outstanding performance of a lovely folk song.

Folk music is a highly underappreciated genre. It’s not generally the catchiest or the most upbeat music in the world. The lyrics often also tell stories of times that have long since passed. For those reasons, folk music is often not played or heard on the radio.

However, despite the lack of respect and awareness of folk music, it’s still performed by talented musicians. In a video posted to YouTube, the group Celtic Woman sings the tune “The Dawning of the Day.” All four women in the group are unbelievably gifted, putting their substantial musical talents on full display.

The women, with their spectacular voices, significantly elevate a song with mundane and, frankly, boring lyrics. “The Dawning of the Day” is about a young woman waking up in the morning, going about her day and encountering a man who wishes to marry her.

“A milking pail was in her hand
She was lovely, young and gay
She wore the palm from Venus bright
By the dawning of the day”

However, as great as the vocal performances are, the clip’s visuals are the real star of the video. The video opens with a breathtaking shot of the four women standing on a hilltop as the sunrises behind them.

From that point forward, viewers get stunning views of the gorgeous landscape. Waves crash on the land, making for a marvelous and picturesque setting. The scenery, at times, appears almost too perfect to be true.

In addition to the musicians, the landscape, with its crashing waves, bright-blue waters and stunning mountains and hills, is basically another performer in the clip. The scenery enhances the quality of the video considerably.

Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

‘Still To Come’ Voice Winner Todd Tilghman Official Lyric Video

A former winner of The Voice beautifully performed a tune about waiting and holding onto the promises of God.

Life can be a difficult and trying experience, often filled with overwhelming situations. It can reach the point where daily life feels like nothing more than a constant, losing struggle. But despite all the difficulties, pain and heartache, there is One who has said He will never leave or forsake us.

In a video posted on YouTube, Todd Tilghman sings about enduring awful situations, trusting in God and believing that whatever may happen, God has a plan. In the opening verse of “Still to Come,” Todd mentions how he understands his present struggle is momentary. But he is still trying to hold on and fight through it.

Then the song’s uplifting and encouraging chorus reminds listeners that God has more planned. He has not left our side, even though it may have sometimes felt like it. The struggle is not in vain. God will use the present situation to His glory.

“’Cause the glory’s still to come
Despite what’s here right now
And the clouds are sure to break
Even if I don’t know how”

In the song’s second verse, Todd sings that no matter how difficult things may get, he will not give up or throw in the towel. Forever and always, he will continue to press forward, even if going on means crawling.

He also adds that he is unsure of what is ahead of him in life. There may be more pain and heartache in his future. But he knows that God is with him throughout all of it. He also understands that the “glory’s still to come.”

Life is an unpredictable series of events. But with the belief and understanding that God will never leave our side and will use it all to his glory and honor, those hardships are much more bearable.

John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and took a place among us for a time; and we saw his glory – such glory as is given to an only song by his father – saw it be true and full of grace.”

Redeemed Quartet Performs 'He's In The Midst'

Watch this great video of the group called Redeemed Quartet performing the song ‘He’s In The Midst.’

“He's in the midst of our storm. He's in the valley we walk through.
Where two or three are gathered in His name, He'll be there too.
When you feel so all alone, He is standing next to you.
He's with us now, our Lord, He's in the midst.”

What a wonderful song with a beautiful message. “In spite of turmoil that comes our way each day via our news sources, there is One who walks with you in the very center of your storm!” writes the Redeemed Quartet in the caption of their music video. “He’s just a prayer away if you call in faith!”

Then the group shares Matthew 18:19-20: “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Many people online were touched by this performance of ‘He’s In The Midst’ and shared their thoughts.

“Amen...it's so wonderful to know that Jesus is always with us, thank you guys for that beautiful song. God bless you all,” comments one person after watching the video.

“Love this new song! The fingerprints of our great God are all over it,” writes another person online. “Thank you dear brothers, for using your awesome voices, to sing praises to our Lord.”

Based in the state of Indiana, the Redeemed Quartet is a professional Southern Gospel group made up of four best friends and brothers. They have had the privilege of sharing their country-styled Southern Gospel music with a local, national, and international audience, and their music offers hope and encouragement to all who hear it.

We hope you enjoyed their performance of ‘He’s In The Midst’ today!
