McDonald’s Employee Shows Incredible Kindness and Is Instantly Rewarded

A McDonald’s employee shows incredible kindness and is instantly rewarded in a way she never expected. Some stories are soft like sunrise. They slip in when you least expect them, wrapping themselves around your heart before you even realize you’re weeping. This one began with a humble question, a Happy Meal, and a woman in a McDonald’s uniform who just wanted to be kind.

She was working the window, the kind of everyday hero we don’t often notice—hair pulled back, shirt tucked in, wearing the grease and grace of a fast food shift. Maybe she’d had a hard morning. Maybe rent was due. Maybe her feet ached in shoes that had lost their cushion months ago. But still, she smiled.

When she walked out to the car to deliver one of the meals they had ordered, she expected to deliver it and walk back to her work. But then the question came, a bit sideways. “Could we borrow $10 for a Happy Meal?” the dad asked gently. Her eyebrows furrowed, unsure. Borrow money from her? At her job? But then—then she looked, really looked, and saw the sweetness in the family. The little one’s hopeful eyes were sitting in the backseat. Something softened. Without hesitation, she nodded and said, “I’ll buy it for you.”

Kindness is just like that: quiet, unassuming, and willing, with no questions and no judgment—just love.

She turned to walk away to cover the cost with her card. But then—she heard it: “Wait. Don’t go.” She paused, thinking maybe he wanted to change the order. Maybe he was embarrassed. Instead, he handed her a handful of cash. A total of $1,000. He looked her in the eye and said, “It was a test. We just wanted to see if someone would help.” And she passed.

Oh, how she passed—with flying colors of grace and compassion. Her hand trembled as she held the cash. Tears brimmed, but she blinked them back. Because sometimes the world surprises you, and when it does, you don’t want to miss a single second of it.

McDonald’s workers are paid decently, but we all know decently isn’t the same as “enough.” And yet, she was willing to give what little she had, simply to show love. It’s these moments that heal the world. The small, unseen decisions to be generous. The yes when it would’ve been easier to say no. The instinct to see people not for what they can give, but for who they are. She was willing to help, and what she received in return was a gift. She received hope. Kindness always comes back, always multiplies, and always matters. And sometimes it shows up in the form of nuggets and apple slices, with $1,000 in thank-you tucked quietly behind it.

Let’s be those people. The ones who see. The ones who stop. The ones who say yes. The ones who change the world, one small act at a time.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over…” Luke 6:38

This Couple Turns Date Nights Into Moments of Spiritual Growth

Who knew date nights could include coffee and reading the Bible? This couple turns date nights into moments of spiritual growth. We’ve heard it repeatedly—“Don’t stop dating your spouse.” That phrase gets tossed around like wedding confetti—meant to stick, meant to shine, but often forgotten once real life hits. The laundry piles up. The kids fight over cereal. The dishes become mountains, and your conversations become more about schedules and bills than dreams and devotions.

But what if dating your spouse didn’t have to be so glittery? What if the secret to joy in your marriage wasn’t always about candlelit restaurants or shaved legs, but something deeper and more sacred?

That’s exactly what Faith and her husband are discovering. And it might just be the sweetest thing you’ll see all day. Faith is a Christian mom, a seminary student, a pastor’s wife, and a woman who isn’t afraid to go deep. She’s not in it for surface-level living or shallow faith. Her heart beats for the richness of Scripture and the closeness of Christ.

In her world, date night looks a little different. It starts with gathering their supplies—journals, Bibles, highlighters—because when the Word of God is involved, even date night becomes holy. Then they head to grab coffee, not to check off a box or make an Instagram-worthy moment, but to sit side by side, Bibles open, hearts open, listening.

Together, they nerd out over theology, underline verses, pause to share what they’re learning, and take notes on what God is whispering to their hearts. There's laughter, tears, and a deep connection that comes from pursuing the Lord together. They’re not just dating—they’re growing. They’re building a marriage that doesn’t rely on fancy dinners but on the rock-solid foundation of Scripture. That kind of dating is more romantic than roses and more intimate than candles. It’s two souls leaning in toward God and each other.

There’s something so beautiful, so sacred, about flipping through pages of truth while sipping coffee and holding the hand of the one who promised to walk life beside you. This kind of intentionality doesn’t just make for sweet afternoons—it builds the kind of marriage that weathers storms and shines light into dark places.

Maybe you’re craving that kind of connection, too. Maybe your soul is longing not just for a break from the kids or a fun night out, but for something deeper, and something holy. Maybe what your marriage needs most isn’t another dinner out, but an invitation back to God’s Word, together.

When you sit down with your spouse and open the Bible, you’re not just spending time, and you’re sowing seeds. As you read and reflect and pray and laugh over the notes scribbled in the margins, you’ll find that the bond between you deepens in ways that last longer than dessert or movie tickets.

As Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” That third strand? It’s Jesus. And when He’s wrapped right in the middle of your love story, your marriage becomes something rare, beautiful, and unbreakable. So grab the coffee, open the Word, and make a date—not just with each other, but with the One who makes your love story sacred.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

80-Year-Old Graduates from College, Proving It’s Never Too Late to Learn

An 80-year-old graduated from college and has proven that it’s never too late to learn. The elderly gentleman participated in the graduation ceremonies, where he walked across the stage and picked up his diploma. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see the man graduate from college and fulfill his promise.

We all get a little older with every passing day, hour, minute and second.  As much as people may try to slow down and even reverse time, it stops for no one. So, because time continually marches forward, aging is a process that impacts everyone.

Since aging can’t be stopped or avoided, we have two options. We can either fret and worry about aging and allow it to keep us from enjoying the time God has given us. Or we can use our time on this Earth and make the most of it. Time is our most precious commodity, and once it’s gone, we’ll never get it back. We won’t be able to recover a single second of lost time.

A clip posted on YouTube shows an elderly gentleman, an 80-year-old man, who decided to use the time he’d been given for something good and worthwhile. Linwood Riddick demonstrated that no one is too old to learn something new. He graduated from South Carolina State University. That special, heartwarming and tear-jerking moment was the fulfillment of a promise he had made to himself.

The video mentions that Linwood was forced to put his educational aspirations on hold because of his military service and because of segregation. But he persevered, saw it through, walked across that stage and became a college graduate!

He looks as if he’s about to tear up! Linwood can serve as an inspiration to others, proving that we are never too old to learn something new.

Ecclesiastes 7:12 “Wisdom keeps a man from danger even as money does; but the value of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to its owner.”

What Happened at This Gas Pump Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity

What happened at this gas pump will restore your faith in humanity. The young woman could not believe the love and kindness someone had shown her and immediately turned to God to thank Him. Watch the short but moving clip to see the tear-jerking act of kindness and love.

The world is often a cold, cruel and lonely place. Most people possess a dog-eat-dog mentality and only care about themselves and no one else. We see this kind of thinking on display everywhere we look—from government leaders, in the workplace, on the news and on social media. For many people, it’s almost like other people and their needs are a hindrance and an obstacle to them.

However, when we stop thinking about only ourselves and our well-being, and consider someone else, we can make a world of difference in their lives. A clip posted on YouTube shows an unexpected, heartwarming act of kindness and how it greatly impacted them and their situation.

In the video, a young woman stands at the front of her car, which is sitting next to a gas pump. She frantically counts her dollars and change, looking extremely worried, wondering how she will pay for the gas she desperately needs. As she does this, a second woman slowly and quietly comes up behind her and places the gas pump she was using into her car. Once she puts the pump in the young woman’s car, she turns away and leaves the scene. She did not stay around to be thanked or recognized for her good deed.

Once the young woman turns around and sees what has happened, she cannot believe it and looks around for the person who might have done it.

But that is not all.

After her gas tank is full and she returns the handle to the correct pump, she breaks down in tears and immediately thanks the Lord for providing for her.

What a sweet and powerful moment that will likely bring a tear or two to your eyes.

Young Man Delivers Powerful Message About Trusting God’s Timing

A young man delivered a powerful message about trusting God’s timing. His insightful comments and moving words likely hit very close to home for many people. Watch the short but compelling clip to hear what the young man had to say about trusting God’s timing and waiting on Him.

No one enjoys waiting for anything. Some people believe that if they have to wait for anything at any moment, it’s already been too long. We want it and everything else right now!

Patience is, without a doubt, in short supply today. If you’ve ever been in a restaurant when someone has had to wait longer than expected for their food to arrive, you know this to be 100 percent true. Being patient and waiting for things to develop and happen is something we all struggle with at one time or another, especially when it comes to waiting on God.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one young man perfectly states how difficult it is to wait on God. His timetable rarely aligns with ours, which is often frustrating. But His timing is perfect, and as the young man shares, God is still at work, preparing us for when that opportunity or situation arrives.

“Because while you’re waiting, God is working,” he said. “While you’re trusting, God is transforming – not just your situation but you. Waiting isn’t punishment. God’s not making you wait just to make it hard. No, he’s making you wait to make you ready.”

Later in the clip, the young man points to a verse in Ecclesiastes, which mentions God’s timing.

“The Bible says God makes everything beautiful in His time,” he said. God knows what He’s doing. He knows the right time, the right place, the right person, the right answers to all of your prayers.”

What powerful and insightful words about trusting the Lord’s timing and being patient with Him who knows best.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in his time: also he has set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end.”

Discovering and Experiencing God’s Peace During Life’s Toughest Moments

One man shared how to experience God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding and knowledge, during life’s toughest moments. He recalled a near-devastating incident involving his daughter to help illustrate his point about peace amid the storm. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear about obtaining and experiencing God’s peace.

As you have probably already figured out, life is not always easy. No one’s life on Earth is all roses and rainbows. There will be and are instances that will push you to your very limits. Your faith will be stretched and tested – never a fun or easy experience.

But, as the Bible states in Philippians 4,  having peace amid the storm is possible. God provides a “deeper than all knowledge” peace that “will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” In a clip posted on YouTube, one man mentions a scary incident in which he nearly lost his daughter to make a point about God’s peace.

After he grabbed the back of his young daughter’s lifejacket right before she was swept out to sea, she curled up into his arms, holding on tightly. He then reassured her that everything would be OK. She had found peace during what was a scary and frightening ordeal.

“There’s nowhere I can go that God is not with me,” he said. “There’s nowhere I can go that I’m beyond his reach. My friend, even on your worst day, you are not alone.”

Later in the clip, he mentions one thing that would completely change our perspective and lives if we did it.

“And if we could just live with the conviction that we serve an ever-present God, it would change the way that we live,” he said. “We would live with greater confidence, more peace and a deeper sense of joy, no matter our circumstances, because we know we’re not in those circumstances alone.”

What an incredibly powerful and insightful statement!

John 16:33 “I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble: but take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Nurse’s Love and Compassion Shines as She Responds Yes to Dying Patient’s Request

One nurse’s love and compassion shone through as she responded “yes” to a dying patient’s request. The woman’s ask was not small either, it was life-changing for everyone involved. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear the big request the woman battling cancer made of her nurse.

Life is not often fair or easy. Pain and hurt are very real parts of it, and they happen more often than we’d like to admit. At one point or another, everyone will experience these situations. Frequently, sickness and disease are big culprits and a significant source of much of the hurt and heartache in the world.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman who was suffering from terminal cancer made an unexpected and monumental request of her nurse. Trisha Summers, the mother of an 8-year-old son, asked her nurse if she would take and raise her son as her own after she passes away.

Trisha made the large request of the nurse, Tricia Seaman, soon after she walked into her room, before the nurse had even said a word to her. They were complete strangers to one another.

“Before she even said anything, I just felt comfort,” Trisha said. “It was almost like someone put, like, a warm blanket on me.”

After talking it over with her family, Tricia agreed to the dying woman’s request to take in her son Wesley and raise him as her own, but she went even one step further. Tricia and her family brought Wesley and Trisha into their home so they could be together during her last days.

“They needed to be together,” Tricia said.

She also added that showing that type of love and compassion to others is “what we’re supposed to do, more than we’re asked.”

What a powerful, massive act of love, compassion and mercy!

It’s been 11 years since Tricia and her family took in Wesley, now 19. He’s in college with plans to study nursing.

Couple’s Mission to Help Children Continues After Devastating Loss

One couple’s mission to help children has continued even after suffering a devastating loss. Even though they were hurting immensely, they knew others were still in need. Watch this short but powerful clip to hear about how one couple was able to keep going even when they were hurting terribly.

Life is not often a fair or fun experience. Hurt, pain and heartache have a way of finding all of us at one time or another. It is impossible to get out of this life without going through devastating and agonizing circumstances. Pain and sorrow are an unfortunate part of life.

A clip posted on YouTube tells of a family, Kari and Bill Cox, and their adopted children, many of whom have special needs. Kari and Bill obviously have a heart for children, particularly those with physical and mental disabilities. However, their mission to help and love children with special needs nearly came to an end following a devastating and unexpected loss.

The clip mentions that Kari and Bill adopted Maribeth, a high-functioning young woman with autism, 13 years ago from China. She went on to become the valedictorian of her high school class. Then, in 2021, as a senior at Marshall University, Maribeth was struck by a vehicle and died. Understandably, Kari and Bill were devastated by the loss and decided that they would never adopt another child.

“Why put yourself through that anymore?” Kari asked.

But then, while going through Maribeth’s things, Kari made a discovery that changed everything. A powerful, moving entry in one of Maribeth’s journals changed Kari’s outlook, even through her hurt and grief.

“God gave you what many may never have, a loving family that will always be there no matter what,” the entry said.

The clip mentions that after making that discovery in Maribeth’s journal, Kari and Bill have continued helping needy children. Since Maribeth’s tragic accident, they have taken in four more kids, for a total of 14 children.

“Their need was greater than my pain,” Kari said.

Wow! What an unbelievably powerful and moving statement.

Romans 8:18 “I am of the opinion that there is no comparison between the pain of this present time and the glory which we will see in the future.”

Powerful Message Reminds God is in Control — Even in the Chaos

This man’s powerful words are an excellent reminder that God is in control even during life's chaos and uncertainty. Even when we are running about, looking for answers in a hectic, chaotic situation, God is still on the throne and has everything under control. Watch this short but powerful clip to hear how God works during chaotic situations.

Life is essentially one long series of unpredictable events. We might have a vague idea of how a particular situation may go, but we can never be 100 percent sure. We don’t know what will happen the next day, minute, hour or second. Life can change in an instant. Anyone who says they know precisely how things will play out is either a liar or insane, or maybe a little of both.

But uncertainty and not knowing can cause much anxiety and fear. Those circumstances may even lead some to question and doubt God, especially when the outcome is murky and the path forward is unclear. In a clip posted on YouTube, one man explains how he experienced a situation that perfectly illustrates how the Lord works during these uncertain, chaotic situations.

He explains that he and his wife were on a plane and were experiencing terrible turbulence, a kind that he had never gone through before. The other passengers were losing their minds. It was a chaotic, frightening scene, for sure. Things got so bad that he was certain the aircraft was about to crash, and his life was about to come to an end.

However, during this, he states that the pilot would periodically come over the loudspeaker and make announcements. But he was drowned out by all the noise, making it impossible to hear the pilot speaking.

“So, all of that commotion is going on on the plane, and the pilot is coming on and off on the intercom,” he said. “And I can hear him, but I cannot make out what he’s saying ‘cause I’m too focused on the problems and the chaos that are surrounding us.”

Later in the clip, he mentioned how the pilot tried to talk to everyone but was drowned out by the noise and chaos, and how that is similar to how God operates.

“And when I thought about that, it made me think about God in life,” he said. “You see, God is just like that pilot, and He’s always communicating with us. But oftentimes we miss the message. We miss the sign; we can’t hear it because we’re too focused on the problems going on in our lives.”

Isaiah 41:10  “Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.”

Teen’s Act of Honesty Leads to Surprise Reward

A teenager’s act of honesty led to a very expensive surprise reward. One person dug deep into their pocketbook when they purchased this young man a gift following his honest deed. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear what the young man did and how he was later rewarded for his move.

It's been said that honesty is the best policy, and of course, that is always the correct path. It may not always be the easiest or most profitable course of action, but it’s the best one. One lie or mistruth will inevitably lead to others, as the individual tries to cover up and hide their initial lie. It becomes a vicious and tiring circle, and once someone is branded as a liar, that can be a hard title to shake.

A clip posted on YouTube tells of a young man, Cody Chalmers, who happened to come across a wallet. Several hundred dollars were in the recovered wallet. Instead of adhering to the “finders’ keepers” adage, Cody set out to find the wallet’s owner. He eventually located the individual to whom the wallet belonged and returned it as he had found it.

But that is not where the story ends.

The hundreds of dollars in the wallet would have come in handy. Cody had been saving for an electronic bike that costs nearly $4,000. Cody’s mother was so proud of her son’s honest, integrity-displaying act that she posted it on Facebook. In the post, mom mentioned how her son had been saving for the bike, but returned the wallet and the money regardless. Several people responded to her post, writing how impressed they were and how much they appreciated the teenager’s move.

At one point, someone wrote that they wanted to buy that bike for Cody. After his mother protested and told this person otherwise, they purchased it for the teenager anyway.

“I’ve had it for less than a week or a week now, probably,” Cody said. “I have a 150 miles on it.”
