Ben Fuller shared the background of his hit song “Proud” and the emotional moment with his father that followed. The Christian music artist mentioned how that song is very personal to him and how his father responded after hearing Ben perform the song live. Anyone who says words aren’t powerful is entirely and utterly wrong. Everyone wants to know and hear that they are loved and appreciated. It doesn’t matter what age or stage of life; hearing “I love you,” especially from a parent, can make all the difference in the world.

On the other hand, not hearing those words or receiving only harsh words of criticism or disapproval can be highly damaging, causing irreparable harm to that individual and the relationship. In a clip posted on YouTube, Ben mentions how he had never heard those words from his father growing up and the hurt it caused.

“So, we wrote this song called “Proud,” he said. “And it, basically, is like, I couldn’t understand my dad, right, growing up. We had a tough relationship. His dad never said, “I love you.” So, therefore, he didn’t share that. It was just this generational thing passed down, right?”

Later in the clip, Ben mentions how his life changed after he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He soon realized he had a heavenly Father who loved him, even though his relationship with his father on Earth was strained and complicated.

However, Ben shared what happened when he performed “Proud” live, and his father was in the audience.

“And so, I got to sing that song, and my dad was in the crowd,” he said. “And you want to talk about emotional? I could barely even, I could barely even get a, the opening line is, “He never hit me with his fists, but he did some damage with his words.”

Ben added that the Holy Spirit started working on him after performing the song.

“Right after I finished the song, I was getting ready to take my guitar off, and the Holy Spirit said, ‘Go hug him,’” Ben said. “And he stood up first, and he walked down the aisle, and he met me halfway, and he gave me a hug.”

Ephesians 6:4 “And, you fathers, do not make your children angry: but give them training in the teaching and fear of the Lord.”

Weddings are beautiful, wonderful ceremonies in which attendees witness the creation of a family. Standing at the altar in front of their friends, family and God, two people exchange vows and agree to remain together for the rest of their lives, no matter what life throws their way. It’s an occasion in which lifelong memories are created.

While those memories and the pictures captured of that special day are important, there is one piece, a memento, that means more than any picture or video: the wedding ring. The wedding ring symbolizes the lifelong promise and commitment made that day. Since that piece of jewelry means so much, losing it would be catastrophic enough to cause someone to panic. Sadly, that’s precisely what happened to one woman who went snorkeling in the Atlantic Ocean.

In the clip posted on YouTube, the woman states that she had just finished snorkeling when she noticed that her wedding ring was no longer on her hand. Somehow, as she explained the situation, she was able to remain calm. So, instead of immediately telling her husband, she went back out snorkeling, hoping to somehow and some way come across her ring.

And, as luck would have it, that’s exactly what happened.

She found her wedding ring, thankfully, in shallow water.

“I was, like, screaming under the water,” Sara Maunee said. “I mean, I got back, I was jumping for joy. I felt like I had won the lottery that day.”

Given the slim odds of finding a ring in the ocean, it’s safe to say that she probably did the equivalent of winning the lottery that day.

A grandmother’s birthday celebration with her friends will melt your heart. To mark the special occasion, the elderly women did something that likely no one saw coming. Watch the short but sweet video to see the surprising and heartwarming activity the group of friends did to recognize the birthday.

Once people reach a certain age, birthdays are generally ignored. It’s almost like that day on the calendar no longer exists. As far as most people are concerned, a year consists of 364 days. Correcting someone who thinks and feels that way would be to put your life and safety at risk.

Honestly, as much as most people hate their birthdays because it’s a sign of getting older, nothing can be done to stop them from coming. So, understanding this, it would seem that we should be more accepting of birthdays, right? I mean, you typically receive presents, and cake is usually involved somehow and somewhere, and that’s always a good thing.

A clip posted on social media shows how a woman in her 80s has no fear of getting older. In fact, she and her friends found a unique way to recognize her 85th birthday. They did not want to do the typical birthday celebration with balloons, party hats and the whole nine yards. Instead, the woman wanted to go to her local playground, and that is what she and her friends did.

The clip shows the women having the time of their lives, taking turns riding the slide. It mentions that the grandmother, who was turning 85, just wanted to have fun like she used to when she was a child.

We all get older, and we can do nothing to change that fact. Instead of trying to hide and mask aging, why not embrace it like these ladies and have fun with it?

One woman shared powerful and encouraging words about our access to God. Everyone would do well to remember her message, especially when we’re struggling or in a place of uncertainty and confusion. Regularly getting into and studying God’s word, attending church and being part of a strong community of believers are vital for everyone’s walk with the Lord. However, while those are great and necessary activities, there is one that tops all the rest: prayer.

Prayer is the opportunity to talk and communicate with the Creator of the world. We can share our hopes, worries, fears, concerns and requests with Him through prayer. We should also praise Him for what He has done and is doing in our lives while praying.

Prayer gives us direct and open access to Him anytime, day or night. How awesome is that? In a clip posted on YouTube, one woman mentions how God is always present, willing and able to listen to what we have to say.

“You don’t have to worry about saying the right words,” she said. “Just be real. Say, ‘God, here’s what I’m feeling’ or ‘I don’t know what to do about this.’ He just wants to hear from you.”

Later in the clip, she mentions why and how we have this special 24/7 access to God, and it has nothing to do with anything we’ve done. We could never and will never do anything worthy of having this kind of close, special relationship with the Creator of the world.

“We have all access to God,” she said.  “Not because of anything we did, but just because Jesus loves us and He wants to be with us. So, let’s use it. Let’s live like He’s right here, right now, because He is.”

A teen with a big heart has given athletes with disabilities a shot at experiencing baseball joy. The high school student’s heartwarming move has allowed others to have fun playing baseball, which may never have happened otherwise. Watch the short but tear-jerking video to hear about a special baseball league started by a teenager.

Most people love watching athletes compete against one another and cheering their team on to victory. Is there anything better than watching your team get a big W following a hard-fought, highly competitive game? What about playing the game yourself?

Sadly, some do not get that opportunity to step up to the plate and show others what they can do. Instead, they are relegated to the sidelines, where they must watch from the sidelines and only dream of what would happen if given the chance to play. A clip posted on YouTube tells of a young man and his father providing a group of special athletes with an opportunity to fulfill those athletic dreams.

As a high school freshman, Matthew McCauley came up with the Redondo Sunset Champions League idea. It’s a baseball league that gives anyone, regardless of their physical or mental challenges, the opportunity to play baseball.

Matthew was motivated by his desire to do something positive in the world.

“The big idea? Just to do some positive good,” Matthew said. “It was really gratifying, I’d say, just to see these kids play a sport that I love.”

While those who play in the league have enormous amounts of fun, Matthew added that he is the one who has been blessed.

“I’m thankful for having been able to do this,” he said. “It’s been amazing to see the players get better.”

What a tremendous way to show love and kindness to others. The league gives some athletes the opportunity to play baseball, which they may never have had if not for the league.

Candace Cameron Bure reveals the family crisis that led to her faith in Christ. The actress, author and podcast host mentioned how a tumultuous and uncertain time in her family resulted in her accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Unfortunately, we will all experience hardships and trials. As most people know, they have a way of finding us at one time or another. That’s a simple and unavoidable fact of life. No one’s life is perfect, regardless of fame, status and net worth. People aren’t perfect, far from it, and so, because of that, our relationships will not be either.

Sadly, this often means that even marriages can go through rough spots, where even divorce looks like a real possibility. In a clip posted on YouTube, Candace shares how a tough period in her parents’ marriage ended with her finding and turning her life over to Jesus Christ.

“My parents were on the brink of divorce when I was 12,” she said. “A friend invited them to go to counseling at their church. My dad was not a believer. My mom was a believer, but my dad agreed to go to counseling and to start going to church.”

She mentions her parents truly wanted to fix their marriage but were unsure of how to go about doing that.

Later in the clip, Cameron says she made a life-changing decision several months after attending church.

“This started our journey going to church,” she said. “So, at 12, you know, probably after a couple of months of going, six months of going, I gave my life to Christ.”

What a powerful testimony and example of how Jesus Christ can make something beautiful from a seemingly broken and hopeless situation.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

A handful of kids met with Spider-Man at Disneyland, but what happened next surprised everyone. The children and the people standing nearby who were capturing the Spider-Man meet-and-greet were utterly taken aback. Watch the short but moving clip to see what happened that caught everyone by surprise.

Most children have a deep, burning desire to go to one of the many Disney parks around the world. If you’re a parent, you’re likely familiar with how badly children want to visit those beloved theme parks. Those little ones might even become annoying with it, constantly pestering and questioning you about a possible Disney vacation.

Can you really blame them for being a tad persistent? Who wouldn’t want to visit Disneyland or Disney World and hang out with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and all their friends? It’s the place where dreams come true, where anything can happen. That is precisely what occurred when a group of youngsters met with Spider-Man, the iconic comic book hero.

In a clip posted on social media, the kids are crowding around the masked superhero. Spider-Man performs a series of poses as the kids mimic his moves. At one point during their interaction, they all pose for a photo, and as they do, a group of people is seen running up behind the kids to join the picture. One of them is actress and singer Zendaya, who has appeared in a couple of the most recent Spider-Man films.

But that was not all.

After taking the photo, the person in the Spider-Man suit pulled off his mask, revealing that it was Tom Holland, the actor who plays the superhero in the popular Marvel films. Tom’s big reveal was met with complete shock and surprise as many let out screams and shouts.

That’s a moment that none of them will ever forget!

A great-grandmother bounced into joy during her first-ever jumps on a trampoline. The woman clearly had the time of her life as she could not contain her laughter while hopping around on the bouncy surface. Watch the short but sweet video of the older woman having fun on a trampoline.

Staying active is one of the best ways to remain as healthy as possible. Unused muscles tend to deteriorate and atrophy, so getting up and moving around is always a good idea. That is one reason every medical professional stresses the importance of regular, daily exercise.

While exercise is not always the most fun thing in the world, it remains vitally important no matter your age or stage in life. The great thing about exercise is that it can and does take many different shapes and forms. Anything can be exercise; getting up, doing something, exerting energy and working your muscles is essential.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one woman had an extraordinary time jumping on a trampoline. It was an activity that she had never done before. As the text in the video explains, the woman’s great-grandson learned that she had never been on a trampoline and invited her to enjoy her first bounces with him. What a sweet gesture and a unique way for them to spend time together.

The little guy bounces around as his great-grandmother is helped onto the trampoline. Once on the trampoline, she carefully bounces up and down, slowly getting a feel for and taking in this new experience. 

After a few moments, she seems to become a tad nervous and holds onto the man kneeling on the trampoline a little too hard, inadvertently gripping him around the neck.

Someone off the trampoline, behind the camera, comments on the great-grandmother’s hand placement.

“You’re choking him,” the man said.
