TURN UP THE VOLUME ON THIS ONE AND WATCH ALL THE WAY THROUGH! This dance drama is a tale of two people. One is lax in the things of God, and the other is studious in the things of God. A trial/storm hits both of them. One is battered by the storm as she tries to fight under her own power, and the other is triumphant in the storm when she calls on the LORD with prayer and praise. But wait, there is hope...watch all the way through to find out what happens. This is a beautiful story of the Gospel and the Lords love and salvation.
This dance describes the LORD as a mighty Warrior. He goes to battle for us. He surrounds us with His fiery shield. He is our strength and our shield. The Shekinah Glory was the fire and cloud. Psalm 84. Psalm 3:3 Shofar and flag introduce the dance. Music by Timbrel...Terl Bryant...The Battle Prayer.
A charming and heartwarming true story for anyone who has ever longed for a place to belong. “Anne of Green Gables,” My Daughter, and Me is a witty romp through the classic novel; a visit to the magical shores of Prince Edward Island; and a poignant personal tale of love, faith, and loss.
And it all started with a simple question: “What’s an orphan?” The words from her adopted daughter, Phoebe, during a bedtime reading of Anne of Green Gables stopped Lorilee Craker in her tracks. How could Lorilee, who grew up not knowing her own birth parents, answer Phoebe’s question when she had wrestled all her life with feeling orphaned—and learned too well that not every story has a happy ending?
So Lorilee set off on a quest to find answers in the pages of the very book that started it all, determined to discover—and teach her daughter—what home, family, and belonging really mean. If you loved the poignancy of Orphan Train and the humor of Mennonite in a Little Black Dress, you will be captivated by “Anne of Green Gables,” My Daughter, and Me. It’s a beautiful memoir that deftly braids three lost girls’ stories together, speaks straight to the heart of the orphan in us all, and shows us the way home at last. - See more at: http://www.tyndale.com/Anne-of-Green-Gables-My-Daughter-and-Me/9781496403438#.VeS3c_lVjW8
As a nation, we are heartbroken, devastated, furious, and have great empathy for these three innocent beautiful girls. We find ourselves asking several questions like how could this happen again in our nation? Jaycee Dugard in 2009 was found and freed from 18 years of captivity where she suffered long hours of loneliness and horrific sexual, physical and emotional abuse. How could no one see the signs in the neighborhood of this sick and twisted man? Unfortunately this is how it usually works for perpetrators of such violent and sexual crimes because they blend so well into our society, communities, and even our own families. We may find ourselves asking the question how these three young women will find healing from this long, traumatic and horrific experience that cost them to lose their childhood. We can learn and find strength from Jaycee Dugard. In a statement she released earlier yesterday, Dugard said the Ohio women found after apparently being held captives for a decade "need the opportunity to heal and connect back into the world." Dugard also stated that the suspected abduction and imprisonment of Amanda Berry, 27, Gina DeJesus, 23, and Michelle Knight, 32, "isn't who they are. It is only what happened to them." She further states, "The human spirit is incredibly resilient. More than ever this reaffirms we should never give up hope."
