Elderly McDonald's Worker Receives Incredible Love and Help from the Community

An elderly McDonald’s worker received incredible love and support from his community.

For most people, retirement is how they view spending their last years on Earth. No matter how much someone enjoys their job, no one wants to do it until their dying breath. People want to spend their golden years traveling, spending time with their grandchildren or doing several other activities.

Sadly, some people simply do not get the opportunity to retire. For whatever reason, some individuals have to continue working for as long as they are physically able. Working a 9-5 job is by no means the ideal way for someone to spend their 70s, 80s and 90s. But some people do not have a choice and must continue punching the time clock.

Ed Eubanks is one of those people who has had to keep working in his advanced years. According to the clip posted on YouTube, he is 82 years old and has worked at a McDonald’s in Henderson, Nevada, for nearly 20 years.

The clip states that Ed does not have the money to enjoy retirement. However, one person started up a GoFundMe account for Ed. Several community members railed to the cause, donating to Ed and raising $2,000 for the 82-year-old McDonald’s employee.

When he learned about the money, Ed was eternally grateful.

“This, this is surprising,” he said. “I mean, I’m really grateful, ‘cause I can use the money and, and it’s fantastic what you guys are doing.”

The man who started the GoFundMe campaign, Abraham Cruz, mentioned hearing story after story from people about their pleasant interactions with Ed. Abraham called Ed a “good guy” and said, “We need to take care of the good guys in here.”

That $2,000 is likely not the final amount that Ed will receive. The page is still open for anyone who might want to donate to the longtime McDonald’s employee.

What a beautiful show of love and support for an elderly man who obviously appreciates it.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”

How God Prepares us for God-Sized Dreams with Musician Bay Turner

The late Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones once wrote, "The worst thing that can happen to a man is to succeed before he's ready." We've probably all heard of or read stories of fallen faith leaders to understand the truth in that statement. Considering this, what if our greatest setbacks and disappointments in pursuit of our God-given dreams are actually evidence of His love and grace? When doctors told Bay Turner that, due to his cut vocal cords, that he might never sing again, he felt into a dark and angry place. But God used that season of intense pain to bring about incredible beauty, as He's promised to do for all of us (Rom. 8:28). Song referenced: "Brand New"

Man in His 90s Braves the World's Fastest Zipline for Most Heartwarming Reason

A man in his 90s braved the world’s fastest zipline for the sweetest, most heartwarming reason possible.

Whether we’d like to admit it or not, everyone has fears. Some people fear spiders or anything that creeps and crawls around on the ground. Others don’t particularly enjoy flying and would rather get around by car, train or other transportation. Still, different individuals have a paralyzing fear of heights. Some people can only get a few off the ground before they start fearing for their safety.

Sometimes, fears are good and healthy and keep us safe when the threat and possibility of danger are very real. However, fear usually does nothing but hold us back from experiencing and doing new and exciting things. When we build up enough courage and force ourselves to face our fears, it is one of the greatest feelings in the world.

However, a 94-year-old man, David, refused to let fear hold him back from going down the world’s fast zipline. As the video posted on social media points out, David conquered the high-speed zipline in memory of his late wife, June.

The clip shows David putting on the helmet and the other proper gear needed to complete a successful zipline ride. Before taking on the world’s fastest zipline, David does one that has a maximum speed between 30 and 40 mph. After that one is complete, it’s on to the next zipline.

Then, David hops onto a truck that takes him to the top of a mountain, where the world’s fastest zipline is located. The text explains that the zipline reaches speeds near 100 miles per hour, which David easily completes.

The video explains that David’s zipline rides were part of his fundraising initiative for the hospice location that cared for his beloved wife near the end of her life.

What a sweet and emotional clip! It is sure to bring tears to the eyes of many.

Anne Wilson Shares Powerful Message About Christ's Love And Forgiveness

In a world where our mistakes can feel overwhelming, Anne Wilson shares a powerful message about Christ’s love and forgiveness that will embrace your soul. With heartfelt honesty, she shared a truth that we all need to remember: No matter what you’ve done or how far you’ve wandered, it’s never too late to come back to Jesus. His love is for all, and His forgiveness knows no bounds.

Anne spoke from her own experience, reflecting on how she grew up in a church where it often felt like every mistake pushed her further from God. It’s easy to believe that the more we mess up, the more distant we are from His love. But Anne’s words bring such hope—reminding us that while sin can create a gap, it never changes the fact that our Father is always ready to welcome us home. Her message is light of hope in the darkness of our mistakes.

"He is a loving Father," Anne emphasized, acknowledging a truth that so many of us need to hear. It’s not about abusing His grace or taking it for granted, but understanding that when we fall short, when we miss the mark, God’s arms are always open. His mercy, His grace, His forgiveness—they’re always available, no matter how far we’ve strayed.

For those who may have never heard this message before or perhaps grew up feeling pushed away from the true heart of the Gospel, Anne’s words offer a gentle reminder: "Jesus loves you, and you can always come home to Him." In His presence, there is rest, healing, and an abundance of life that nothing else can provide. His love is not just about forgiveness but about a life filled with His blessings and joy.

Anne Wilson’s message is a powerful reminder that we are never beyond the reach of God’s love. Jesus is always there, ready to welcome us back, to forgive, and to pour out His peace and joy into our lives.

If you’ve ever felt too far gone or unworthy of His love, take comfort in knowing that God’s grace is bigger than our biggest mistakes. She shares, “No matter what you've done or the mistakes you’ve made, it is never too late to come back to Jesus.” Today, right now, you can come home to Jesus and experience the life He’s always had waiting for you.

Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Kind Man Rescues Stuck and Frightened Baby Swan in Heartwarming Move

A kind man rescues a stuck and frightened baby swan in a heartwarming move despite being attacked by its parent!

Simon, a dedicated wildlife aid, was summoned to an urgent rescue when a distress call came in about a baby swan caught in a chain-link fence. The situation was critical: the baby swan was entangled and struggling, and time was of the essence. Simon, known for his expertise and compassion in wildlife rescue, quickly made his way to the scene, prepared to face the challenge head-on.

Upon arriving, Simon encountered an unexpected obstacle. The baby swan’s father, a protective and determined swan dad, saw Simon as a threat to his young one. With fierce intensity, the father swan launched repeated attacks, trying to drive Simon away from the fence. His aggressive behavior was proof of the strong parental instincts that swans exhibit, especially when it comes to safeguarding their offspring.

Despite the swan dad’s best efforts to deter him, Simon remained calm and focused. He understood the urgency of the situation and knew that saving the baby swan required both skill and patience. With gentle precision, Simon worked to carefully untangle the baby swan from the chain-link fence. Each movement was deliberate, ensuring that the young bird was freed without further harm, and he gently fought off the swan’s protective advances.

The rescue operation was a delicate balance of respecting the swan dad’s protective nature while prioritizing the baby swan’s safety. Simon’s dedication shone through as he navigated the challenging circumstances, demonstrating the importance of empathy and persistence in wildlife rescue. The baby swan, now free from its entanglement, was reunited with its vigilant father.

Simon talked to the father swan, “You feeling a bit calmer? Good. Before he talked to the onlookers as they watched the entire family swim away, “So they’ve all got together again. Everybody’s happy, and I’ve got a bruised arm.” He added, “It’s so lovely to do something like that,” as he watched the reunited family swim away.

In moments like these, we are reminded of the profound care and commitment of individuals like Simon. It’s a blessing to have people who dedicate their time and energy to helping the world’s animals ensuring their safety and well-being. We give thanks to God for such compassionate souls who help us cherish and protect the creatures that share our world, bringing hope and healing where it is needed most.

Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Woman's Faith in God Helps Her Overcome Challenges

A woman’s faith in God has helped her overcome life’s many challenges.

Anyone who says life is fair is completely and entirely incorrect. Life is often a series of unpredictable events that can lead us to places and people we never imagined. Life is a lot of things, but one of them is not fair.

In this life, we’ll all experience ups and downs. Dark valleys and storms can and do find all of us at times. But not all of life’s storms are created equal. Some will encounter what feels like more than their fair share of valleys and storms, resulting in grief, pain and sorrow.

But no matter what we’re facing or enduring, there is one who will never leave our side. He has promised to remain with us throughout the entire situation. Additionally, the Bible states, in Romans, that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one woman tearfully admits that she has been able to withstand all the trials and tribulations that life has thrown her way. She has not done it alone; she has gotten quite a bit of help from the Lord.

Natalie is a woman who has been through a lot in her life, including cancer. She tells Jennifer Hudson that it has been God who has kept her going through everything.

“I pray every morning before I put my feet on the ground,” she said. “I pray every night before I go to bed, and I just know that everything will work out.”

We will all face problems, some pushing us to our breaking point. But the Lord is faithful. He has never let us down before, and there’s no reason to think He will start now.

Deuteronomy 7:9 “Be certain, then, that the Lord your God is God; whose faith and mercy are unchanging, who keeps his word through a thousand generations to those who have love for him and keep his laws;”

Heroic Officers Race Against Time to Rescue 17-Year-Old from Burning Car

A group of heroic police officers raced against time to rescue a 17-year-old driver trapped in a burning car.

Unfortunately, tragedies are an everyday occurrence in this fallen and lost world. Bad things happen all the time, often resulting in severe, devastating injuries and sadly, even loss of life. Television news broadcasts and thousands of websites are covered with such incidents, proving that statement to be completely true.

However, a special group of people immediately rush to the scene when horrific accidents or similar incidents happen. Those men and women rush to the scene, answering duty’s call while looking for any possible way to save a life. Sadly, that is not often the case. However, there are instances in which law enforcement and firefighters perform rescues, pulling individuals to safety and saving their lives.

A clip posted on YouTube captured one of those instances following a crash that engulfed a vehicle in flames. The camera catches the moments after a 17-year-old crashed into a tree. Soon after the crash, the car ignites, trapping the teen driver inside the vehicle.

The first officer on the scene, Austin Williams, recalls hearing the driver screaming for help as he tried to pry open the door to free the driver. He also broke a window, but the flames proved too much for the officer. He had no choice but to stand back and wait for help.

A second officer quickly arrived on the scene. He had a fire extinguisher and immediately began spraying the burning vehicle. However, it was insufficient to get the 17-year-old out of the car.

Then, more officers made it to the scene, and with the help of rope attached to their patrol car and the door of the burning vehicle, the 17-year-old was pulled from the car.

The teenager, who was stuck in the burning car for more than five minutes, survived but has undergone surgeries after sustaining burns to about 20% of his body.

Praise God for the heroic efforts of those officers and their refusal to give up.

Bus Driver Gives Woman Her Shoes in a Beautiful Act of Generosity and Love

A bus driver gave a woman the shoes off her feet in a beautiful act of generosity and love.

The world is a sad, cruel and lost place. Sin has done a number on our society, destroying anything and everything it encounters. As a result, many people are hurting and struggling, desperately looking for anything that may give them even the tiniest bit of hope.

Individuals struggling and suffering are all around us. They could be your co-worker, neighbor, someone we pass on the street or even a family member. There is plenty of need all around us. However, one question remains: How will we respond to and help those in need?

According to a video posted on YouTube, Minneapolis bus driver Jayne Arendt-Verhelst saw a need one day and acted swiftly to meet it. Jayne spotted a woman, who appeared to be homeless, standing in the middle of the road. Jayne stopped and gave the woman a lift.

However, Jayne quickly noticed something unusual about the mysterious woman.

She didn’t have any shoes. For a second, Jayne put herself in that woman’s position, trying to see the world through her eyes.

“I can’t imagine what it’s like walking around in bare feet on the hot pavement, and just nobody sees you,” Jayne said. “She’s just kind of invisible, you know?”

But Jayne saw her and acted with generosity and love. The video shows Jayne taking the shoes off her feet and giving them to the unknown woman.

Yes, people are sinners and need the life-changing touch and forgiveness that can only come from Jesus Christ. But we must meet people where they are first. If someone is hungry, thirsty, doesn’t have a coat or lacks some other kind of necessity and we don’t meet that need, how receptive are they going to be to anything else we say or do?

Acts 20:35 “In all things I was an example to you of how, in your lives, you are to give help to the feeble, and keep in memory the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘There is a greater blessing in giving than in getting.’”

Sheriff's Department's Gesture Touches Hearts as Little Girl Returns to School After Father's Death

A sheriff’s department’s sweet gesture has touched hearts as a little girl returned to school following her father’s death.

Sadly, we will all go through situations that hurt and sting. Losing a loved one is and always will be a painful and heartbreaking time. It’s one of the deepest, darkest valleys any of us will go through in life. While the passing of time may lessen the sting a bit, their absence will forever be felt and noticed.

Going through such a situation will hurt no matter someone’s age or stage in life. But it would be especially heartbreaking and challenging for a child to experience death, to lose someone as close as a parent. How do you explain to a young child that they will not see their father or mother ever again on this side of heaven?

Whenever a family is grieving, often the best thing to do is to show them that you care and are thinking about and praying for them. A clip posted shows how one sheriff’s department showed up for a little girl who had recently lost her father to cancer.

As the child made her way to school in the morning, several department members lined up to warmly embrace her. According to the video, the young woman’s father, Gonzalo Galvez, was a “tactical medic deputy of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.”

As the child hugged each deputy, she did so while she carried a framed photo of her late father.

But the line of hugs was not the only thing the department did to show the family that they were thinking of the family. The video shows the unit’s helicopter flying over the school as the family stands and waves at the aircraft.

Death is brutal, and it will always hurt when we lose a loved one. But showing someone in pain and grieving that you care and are thinking about them can go a long way in providing comfort.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”

Matthew West Shares Christ's Message of Love and Hope Through Uplifting Yard Signs Campaign

Legendary Christian music artist Matthew West shares Christ's message of love and hope through an uplifting yard signs campaign.

The world is a lost and fallen place. It's full of hurting and struggling people looking for any kind or glimmer of hope. Sadly, those individuals are all around us and everywhere we go. They desperately want and need something or someone to believe in and trust.

Thankfully, there is one who can meet their needs. He can and has healed the sick, fed the hungry, given sight to the blind and raised the dead. Jesus Christ provides hope and interjects life into a dead and lifeless situation. He loves the lost and the sinner, constantly calling and beckoning them to Him.

However, sadly, some may not have heard of Jesus Christ's powerful, life-changing and life-saving message. So, to bring hope to a lost world that so desperately and badly needs it, Matthew has started a yard sign campaign and movement.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Matthew explains the origins of the Don't Stop Praying Movement. He says that after writing the song "Don't Stop Praying," he felt that there was something more he could be doing to spread Christ's message.

"Ever since I wrote the song, "Don't Stop Praying," it really felt like a statement," he said. "My team and I were talking about how there's all these signs that are going to be in people's yards. Everybody's getting the word out about something, and it's like, well, what's the campaign slogan of the, of the believer, of somebody who follows Jesus? The idea came up about a "Don't Stop Praying" yard sign."

Later in the video, Matthew admits that the yard sign campaign touched his heart and forced him to consider how he could reach people for Christ.

"It's funny, as I'm driving around this city that I call home, I've been kind of convicted in a good way," he said. "But just like how often I just stay in my own little bubble, my own little world of family and friends and influence when there's a great big city full of people who are lost and searching and need hope."

He added that he has felt challenged to pray for the lost, those without hope and everyone who needs Christ.

James 5:16 "So then, make a statement of your sins to one another, and say prayers for one another so that you may be made well. The prayer of a good man is full of power in its working."

Courageous 8-Year-Old Girl Wields Bat to Thwart Robbery Attempt

A courageous 8-year-old girl wielded a bat as she helped to thwart a robbery attempt.

Sin corrupts and destroys everything that it touches and encounters. As a result, evil and hate most certainly exist in this world. We simply cannot and will not be able to escape being around sin as long as we remain in this world. Unfortunately, we see examples of evil and hate daily on television news broadcasts or websites.

Crime, as everyone knows, is a by-product of sin. People, usually through force, will destroy or attempt to take something from others. Crime, despite the efforts of police officers or lawmakers, will never be eradicated. Sadly, it’s something that will always be with us.

However, one brave little girl was not going to let herself or her father become a crime victim. The surveillance video posted on YouTube shows how the little girl stepped up in a big way to stop a man with nothing but nefarious intentions.

The clip shows a would-be robber and the owner of a liquor store on the floor in a violent brawl. The clip’s description states that the criminal walked up to the register carrying a BB gun. After a few moments into their interaction, the suspect came behind the register and approached the store owner, which led to the two of them on the floor.

But the store’s owner got some help from his 8-year-old daughter. The little girl can be seen on camera carrying a baseball bat, walking up to the suspect on the ground and then taking a few healthy swings at him.

The clip mentions that after the child hit the suspect with the bat, the suspect fled the scene.

In an interview, the child’s father mentioned that he was proud of his brave daughter and mystified at how she could carry such a heavy bat.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and take heart, and have no fear of them: for it is the Lord your God who is going with you; he will not take away his help from you.”
