Heroic Teens Rush Outside to Save Man Who Had Fallen on Train Tracks

Heroic teens rushed outside to save a man who had fallen on train tracks. The three young men wasted no time getting to someone who needed help. Watch the clip to see and hear about the three teenagers’ life-saving efforts.

Teenagers often get a bad rap. Many people see and think of teenagers as being out-of-control, self-centered, video-game-obsessed individuals who are always looking for ways to bring about destruction and mayhem. Of course, that is painting with a considerably broad brush, which is always a wrong move.

Some teenagers will fit and meet that very narrow description and narrative. For the most part, teenagers aren’t that way at all. That is certainly the case when talking about three Iowa teenagers who saw an elderly gentleman in distress and a potentially life-threatening situation.

In a clip posted on YouTube, three teenage boys recalled seeing an older man fall on train tracks while in class. The clip adds that the unnamed man had trouble returning to his feet. Instead of asking for permission, all three walked out of school and quickly headed to where the man had fallen.

A teacher spotted the three young men as they approached the elderly gentleman. However, by that point, the teacher admitted that they had everything covered.

“Kinda by the time I was out there, they were kind of getting to him and helping him up off his feet,” the high school science teacher said. “And then they started walking him to the bus stop and that’s about two blocks away. And I decided to take out my phone and take a picture.”

What the teacher captured with his photo was a beautiful moment of three heroic young men assisting someone in trouble.

“It was just, you know, a selfless act,” the teacher said. “They didn’t wait and ask for permission. They just said, ‘We’re doing this.’”

Philippians 2:4 “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

Woman’s Hilarious Mishap Right Before Proposal Creates Unforgettable Moment

A woman’s hilarious mishap right before a proposal creates an unforgettable moment. She took one wrong step right before she took an even more significant step. Watch the short but hysterical clip in which one young lady experiences an unfortunate accident seconds before one of the biggest moments of her life.

Proposals can and often do require a lot of planning and preparation. Proposing marriage to someone is a huge, massive moment for every couple. How the big question is popped is a story that couples want to be able to tell their children and grandchildren for years to come.

Knowing how much is riding on this special moment, it’s essential to consider and think about every possible scenario and outcome. However, as much as the young man may plan and prepare for the big moment, it’s impossible to plan for everything. Life is unpredictable, and that is what happened to one couple who was about to get engaged.

In the short video posted on social media, a young man leads his girlfriend down a steep hill. They are literally seconds away from being engaged. However, as they make their way down the hill, disaster strikes. The young woman takes a tumble and falls to the ground.

Instead of letting her slip ruin the moment, the woman and the young man are good-natured about it and enjoy a good laugh. At one point during the clip, a dog enters the frame and walks over to the woman, checking to see if she is OK.

Eventually, as the couple continues to laugh about the situation, they make their way to the patio, which the young man has decorated for the big moment. She is dumbfounded by what she sees, with her mouth hanging open.

Her unfortunate slip and fall will only help to make their beautiful engagement story even more special.

Genesis 2:24 “For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.”

Mother Shares Heartfelt Wisdom and Advice She’s Received

One woman shared the heartfelt wisdom and advice she’s received since becoming a parent. Some of the advice she has gotten is unconventional but still incredibly sweet and heartwarming. Watch the short video to see what she has received and what she is now passing along to others with children.

Being a parent is one of life’s greatest blessings. Children add so much joy and happiness to every household and make life infinitely better in every way imaginable. However, parenting is not always easy. Most good things in life require much work, effort and time, and parenting is no exception.

There will be times as a parent when the best action or path forward isn’t clear. How should we respond to this or that situation? There will also be times when parents make mistakes. It happens; parents are still humans, and having children doesn’t change that.

However, in a clip posted on social media, a woman shares some advice she’s received since becoming a parent. The advice concerns sweet and unique ways to respond to situations most parents encounter regularly.

One piece of advice shared in the video involves how parents talk about their children in front of others.

“Call them brave, gentle, kind, caring, etc in front of others,” the text reads. “It will become their inner voice.”

Also, the video suggested having an “argument” with your spouse over one specific issue in front of your youngster.

“’Argue’ with your spouse about who gets to put them to bed or hold their hand,” the text reads. “It makes them feel so special.”

Also, the video informs parents to “never be the first to let go of a hug.”

As every parent knows, children are only little for a short period. Blink your eyes, and your youngster is packed up and backing out of your driveway to start their own life. These pieces of advice will help create special memories with your child.

Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old he will not be turned away from it.”

Elderly Man Joins Neighbors for Movie Nights to Ease Loneliness

An elderly man joins his neighbors for movie nights to help ease and ward off loneliness. The couple helps their neighbor feel less alone, and they do so by inviting him over to watch movies together. Watch the short but sweet video to see how one couple is helping a man who lives by himself feel less alone.

Human beings are not made to be islands of themselves. We aren’t designed to experience life by ourselves. We’re made for relationships. Some of the Bible’s first passages highlight this truth about humanity. In the Garden of Eden, God gave Adam a mate, a companion, Eve, to help him and help him feel less alone.

Life is meant to be shared and experienced with others. Unfortunately, many people experience loneliness regularly. Feeling alone and as if no one cares is, without a doubt, one of the worst feelings in the world.

Sadly, older people are a group of people who likely experience loneliness at a higher rate than anyone else. Their advanced age and, often, their immobility and inability to get out regularly, confining them to their homes, are huge contributing factors to their loneliness.

In a clip posted on social media, Delmar, an older gentleman, has found a unique and sweet way to defeat loneliness. The text in the video states that Delmar lives alone with his dog. This could easily make for a lonely existence, but Delmar and his neighbor’s shared love of movies keeps him from feeling this way.

“He lives alone with his dog so he comes over to watch movies with us when he feels alone,” the text states.

After the film ends, the text adds Delmar has the sweetest and most heartwarming response to his movie get-togethers with his neighbors.

“That was my favorite part of the day,” he says.

What a simple but significant and impactful act of love and kindness. Watching movies, or just giving someone something to look forward to, can mean so much to an individual feeling alone.

Psalm 71:9: “Do not give me up when I am old; be my help even when my strength is gone.”

Walking In The Light Podcast - Marriage on the rocks or The Rock ?

God has instilled in all of us a desire for relationship. The week of Febraury 7 – Febraury 14 is celebrated as National Marriage Week, and is also the week of Valentines Day, when couples celebrate their love for one another. Beginning with today’s episode, we will spend the entire month of Febraury focusing on “Marriage”. We pray that you will find our episodes insightful and educational. Our intent is to help you to build or sustain a great marriage, recognizing that God is the author of marriage. In this episode, we ask the question, is your marriage on the rocks, or on “The Rock”? Is your marriage on the rocks? Have you done all that you think that you could do, and you still are not happy? Do you live under the same roof and barely speak or your communication is just not happening? Is your physical relationship few, far and in between or basically just nonexistent? Or on the other hand is your physical relationship all that you have going on? But you both are just going through the motions? Do you jump at the opportunity to spend time apart, or enjoy the company of everyone else except one another? When you get angry do you often resort to disrespectful name calling, foul language and go as far as physical blows? Are you so tired of fussing and fighting, and now you just want to go your separate ways? Do either or both of you just drink yourself under the table because you just can't take life without being under the influence of some substance, in order to function? If your answer is "yes" to two or more of these questions, your marriage is on the rocks! If you're not married, are you engaged or on the brink of saying 'I Do'? If so, have you asked yourself: • Are We Ready For Marriage ? • How Compatible are We? • Are we Ready for Intimacy, Commitment and The Marriage Bed? • What About the In-laws? Will they truly be In-laws, or Out-laws"? Listen to the episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O48VMCmyFcs&t=171s Learn how to build your marriage on The Rock.

Wynonna Judd’s Heartfelt Words of Encouragement and Love Bring Jenna Bush Hager to Tears

Wynonna Judd’s heartfelt words of encouragement and love brought Jenna Bush Hager to tears. What the legendary singer said caused her co-host to react emotionally on-air, creating an unexpectedly beautiful moment. Watch the short clip to hear what Wynonna said, which brought tears to Jenna’s eyes. Be sure you also have some tissues nearby.

Words are powerful and can cause people to react and respond in various ways. What people say to one another can and do build others up and encourage and uplift them when they need it most. One positive, encouraging message could greatly impact someone’s entire life, forever changing the trajectory of their life. It happens more often than we think.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Wynonna shared a message of encouragement and love with Jenna during a “Jenna & Friends” segment. Jenna and Wynonna were talking about the January tragedy in which a military helicopter struck a commercial plane in Washington, D.C., killing everyone involved.

Wynonna mentioned how short and precious life is and how it can be extinguished without a moment’s notice. Jenna responded that given the tragedies and darkness that permeate the world, she is happy that with her show and platform, she is able to bring some happiness and light to the world every day. That’s when Wynonna shared sweet words of encouragement for her co-host.

“I was going to tell you this, last night I didn’t sleep at all because I just have you on my heart,” Wynonna said to Jenna. “I watch you every day, and I went on my own in 1992, solo, and I think about you so much. And you’re a mom and a wife, and I don’t know how you’re doing this, but I just want to affirm you and say being authentic is lonely. And I can imagine that you feel that way sometimes, but I just love you, and I appreciate you, and I admire you so much.”

Ephesians 4:29 “Let no evil talk come out of your mouth, but only what is good for giving necessary teaching, and for grace. To those who give ear.”

Alexa PenaVega Shares How God Wept with and Comforted Her During Loss

Alexa PenaVega shares how God wept with and comforted her during a season of loss and immense pain. The actress who went through one of the most painful experiences imaginable mentioned how the Lord was with her through it all. Watch the short video to hear how God grieves and comforts His children when they are hurting.

Being a parent is one of life’s biggest blessings. There is nothing like welcoming a new bundle of joy into the world. Children add so much joy, happiness, and love to every household. Because children are such precious gifts from the Lord, losing one can and does result in immense pain, grief and sorrow.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Alexa recalls the painful, horrible experience of losing her baby girl, Indy, soon after the child was born. She mentions that two minutes before the child was delivered, there was a heartbeat. Sadly, soon after that precious baby girl was born, she passed away.

Following the loss of her child, Alexa states how the Lord was with her, provided her comfort and healing, and how she even witnessed Him grieving with and for her. She said that soon after losing Indy, Alexa, even though she was still hurting and suffering, felt an incredible and inexplicable peace.

During the healing process, Alexa was in a therapy session when she received a vision, a scene from the Lord.

“And I closed my eyes, and the Lord gave me this insane vision,” she said. “I was laying in the bed, and Indy was next to me, and they were trying to resuscitate her. The room was filled with angels around every single person in the room. But Indy was in God’s arms, but she was alive in His arms. Even though she was no longer living next to me, she was alive in His arms. But God was weeping. All the angels were weeping. They weren’t like, ‘It’s OK, we have her. She’s safe.’ They were weeping for us, and it gave me a whole new perspective of God, of where when we weep, He weeps because He’s heartbroken for his children. Even though He knew she was fully alive with Him and great and happy, He wept for us. And I felt so seen in that moment.”

Later in the clip, she added that God hurts when we hurt and go through difficult situations.

“In our heaviest moments, in our darkest moments where we truly just feel gutted, know He is weeping for you,” she said. “Sometimes you just want somebody to cry with, and He is, He’s doing that. And I don’t know how to explain it. I wish I had better words for it, but He wept with me, and it really helped. It helped me feel seen.”

Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he is the savior of those whose spirits are crushed down.”

Young Girl Honors Late Baby Brother with Moving, Tear-Jerking Poem

A young girl honored her late baby brother with a moving, tear-jerking poem. The child, a first grader, decided to put her thoughts and feelings about her little brother, who passed away, down on paper, creating a poem. Watch this short video to hear the child’s poem and learn about the story behind the poem. Make sure to have a box of tissues nearby.

Life is not always a fun experience. Sure, there will be plenty of reasons and occasions when celebrating is warranted and even necessary. Unfortunately, in addition to the happy, joyous moments, there will be instances that bring about pain, grief and sorrow.

One of the most intensely painful, and devastating experiences is losing a loved one. During such times, many people will try to comfort those grieving by falling back on that old cliché, stating that “time heals all wounds.” Of course, that is not true at all. Time may lessen the sting some, but it will always hurt. That person’s absence will forever be a hurtful reminder of who is no longer in our lives.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a little girl, Khali, channeled her pain about losing her baby brother, Houston, into a poem. She wrote down her thoughts and feelings about losing him. The child then recited the poem about her late brother in a talent show and won first prize.

Writing the poem was a cathartic and healing exercise for Khali and her mother, Tijinee. Tijinee was able to grieve and express her feelings as she listened to her daughter during the talent show.

“So, I was actually trying to hold back my emotions because I felt like she was doing something that I couldn’t deliver,” Tijinee said. “So, it was kind of me grieving through her in a better way for me as well.”

Finding a way to grieve, express and channel hurt and sorrow, especially when going through those deep, dark valleys, can be beneficial in the healing process.

Psalm 147:3 “He makes the brokenhearted well and puts oil on their wounds.”
