Carol Burnett Recognizes Familiar Face from Her School Days

Carol Burnett recognizes a familiar face from her school days. The comedic legend had an unexpected encounter, a blast from the past, when addressing the studio audience. Watch the short but hilarious clip to see the moment Carol realizes she is talking to someone from her school days.

Even though some people may try their best, time stops for no one. Everyone gets older every second, minute, hour and day. Aging is a process that impacts everyone as time constantly moves forward, and some may suggest that it even speeds up.

In addition to being constantly on the move, time can be a funny thing, playing tricks on the mind. One of the first big things many people do is graduate from high school. As people get older, some will comment on how long they’ve been out of school, and soon enough, it’s been 10, 20 and even 30 years since they’ve accepted that high school diploma. Then, you’ll see someone from your high school days, and you’re immediately drawn back into those years and that moment.

In a clip posted on social media, Carol encountered someone she knew but didn’t initially know she knew. The man talking to her in the clip turned out to be someone she went to school with, and when he mentioned his name, she immediately knew who he was.

The video starts with an audience member asking Carol how long ago she was in school. She is somewhat confused and then mentions that he looks “very familiar.” He states his name and her memories of him start flooding back immediately.

“John McClellan!” she yells. “Oh my gosh, you look marvelous! How do I look, John?”

What a funny and sweet clip of the comedic legend seeing someone from her past in front of the studio audience.

Child in Wheelchair Lights Up After Seeing Ad Featuring Someone Like Him

A child in a wheelchair lights up after seeing an ad featuring someone like him. The little guy cannot believe what he sees when he looks at the store’s display. Watch the short but adorable clip to see the heartwarming moment.

Everyone wants to be included and feel as if they belong and that they matter. There’s something special about feeling accepted and liked by others. Most people have likely seen how someone’s face lights up when they are included in plans or asked to do something by others. Typically, they exhibit a massive smile, and often, a little extra pep finds its way into their step.

Loneliness and believing oneself to be cut off and excluded from others are among the worst feelings in the world. We all want to know that someone cares and that we’re loved. Feeling part of the group is vital to everyone, especially to children. A sweet clip on social media shows what it means to one child to feel included and seen.

In the video, Ezra, a young man with spina bifida who uses a wheelchair, is in a store with his mother. Seconds after the short clip begins, a small but excited voice can be heard from off-camera.

“There’s a girl in a wheelchair!” he says.

In the center of the screen is a display of a young woman in a wheelchair. The child then appears on camera and rolls toward an ad with a little girl in a wheelchair. He cannot believe his eyes.

“There’s a girl in a wheelchair just like me!” Ezra says while sporting one of the biggest smiles you’ve ever seen.

He is beyond excited to see someone who also uses a wheelchair in an ad. It’s clear that the young man felt seen, accepted and included at that moment.

What a lovely and heartwarming moment!

9-Year-Old’s Sweet Effort to Bring Comfort to the Homeless Warms Hearts

A 9-year-old’s sweet effort to bring comfort to the homeless warms the hearts of many. The young man was motivated to make bedtime a little more comfortable for those experiencing homelessness. Watch the short but touching clip to see the heartwarming way the caring young man brought comfort to the homeless population in his city.

The world is a lost, fallen and broken place. Many people are hurting and struggling because of sin and the problems it has brought upon our world. Many are constantly calling out for help, but sadly, too often, those cries for assistance and aid go unanswered. Instead of offering a helping hand, most people will avert their eyes and act as if someone hurting and struggling right in front of them does not exist.

One young man refused to ignore those hurting and scratching and crawling just to get by. Ty Kolonsky, a 9-year-old native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, offered a helping hand in the form of a brand-new pillow. In the clip posted on YouTube, Ty was motivated to do something after realizing he had multiple pillows and some people had none.

“I had three pillows, and the homeless had none,” he said. “When we’re going through the streets of Pittsburgh, we see a whole bunch of homeless people. And I think about all the stuff they don’t have. I took my money, and I went and bought two pillows.”

But that wasn’t the end of it. Ty’s loving and caring efforts motivated others to get involved.

“And my dad said, ‘Whatever you buy, I’ll double it,’” Ty said. “So, he bought four and my nana offered to buy six, and my mom thought we were done. I told her, ‘No.’

The young man asked his mother to spread the word on social media. The video mentions that Ty collected nearly 130 pillows, 68 pillowcases and four blankets to give to those experiencing homelessness.

What an incredible story! Anyone can make a difference, no matter their age. It is simply a matter of seeing a problem, someone hurting and then working to solve it.

Teacher Reunites with Former Student He Helped Rescue and Escape Abusive Household

A teacher reunited with a former student he helped rescue and escape an abusive household. It was an emotional moment between the schoolteacher and the young woman he helped more than 20 years earlier. Watch the short but powerful and moving clip to hear how the observant teacher helped save the young woman’s life.

Teachers are people who have been placed in important positions. They interact with young people daily through their crucial and necessary work in the classroom. Teachers are molding the next generation. What they do and say in those classrooms will have repercussions for years.

As one clip posted on YouTube shows, observant teachers can and do literally save the lives of their students. That happened when a kindergarten teacher, Richard Goforth, noticed something unusual about one of his students, Ashley Mabry. He spotted a wound on the side of the little girl’s face.

As it turned out, Ashely was being abused by her biological father. She says she was told to lie and keep quiet about what was happening. But after Richard questioned his young student about her injury, she never returned to that abusive household. Ashely credits Richard with saving her life all those years ago as a kindergarten student.

“I came in, and I had a severe head injury,” she said. “And so, he questioned me about that, and we never had to go back home after that. He pretty much saved my life.”

Richard knew he had to do something and wouldn’t stop until her situation changed.

“Somebody had hurt one of my babies, flat out, and I didn’t, wasn’t going to stand for it,” Richard said.

The video adds that Ashley and her three siblings did not go back to that abusive household and were all later adopted by another family.

“She’s just been a blessing to us the whole time, and we’re so proud of her,” Ashely’s adoptive mother said.

Richard hopes that other children in a similar situation as Ashley realize and understand that they can talk to their teacher about what is happening to them.

Young Woman and Elderly Man Prove Friendship and Kindness Have No Age Limit

A young woman and an elderly man prove that friendship and kindness have no age limit. Despite their vast age difference, the two are the closest of friends and have formed a sweet, unbreakable bond. Watch the short but heartwarming clip about the bond between the two pals.

We can never have too many friends. It’s simply impossible to reach a limit on friends– the more, the better. Everyone, regardless of their age or stage in life, needs friends. Friends are the people we turn to and can count on when life becomes complicated and unbearable. They are often a shoulder to cry on and someone to lift us up when we’ve been beaten down and struggle to continue.

A clip posted on YouTube shows the sweet friendship between two unlikely people—a 27-year-old woman and an 85-year-old man. Even though there is nearly a 60-year age gap between them, they are as close as friends can be.

In the video, Julissa Gomez remembers the first time she met Delmar Harter and the sweet, neighborly gift he brought with him.

“So, the first time that I met Delmar was when my parents bought this house,” she said. “And the first day that we came to the house, and we officially started moving in, Delmar came over with a little cutout newspaper with a joke or fun fact on it. And he wanted to introduce himself with something funny to make our days brighter.”

The clip shows Delmar and Julissa playing Jenga, enjoying ice cream and watching movies together.

“We are very grateful that we have a neighbor like that that turned into a friend and now family,” she said. “That’s such a lost art nowadays – knowing your neighbor.”

Delmar added, “You have to be more, more friendly and helpful.”

But eating ice cream and watching movies together is not the only thing these two pals do. They have also written a children’s book about their friendship. She says the book will help Delmar pay for any living or medical costs he may encounter.

What an absolutely adorable friendship and bond!

Proverbs 17:17 “A friend is loving at all times, and becomes a brother in times of trouble.”
