A 13-year-old who loves learning has graduated from college. Not even old enough to drive, this young man already has a college degree. Watch the short but awe-inspiring clip to see and hear about this young man’s incredible educational achievement.
An education is something that will forever and always remain incomplete. Regardless of the number of degrees someone may possess, there will always be more to learn. More facts, figures and information exist than we currently know and understand, making learning a never-ending process.
Learning is an ongoing, lifelong procedure. That’s why you are never too old to learn something new, and as one little guy has demonstrated, you are never too young, either. A clip posted on YouTube tells of a 13-year-old, Beckett Potter, who graduated from a college in Dallas, Texas.
As the video explains, Beckett started high school at just 11 years old, and because of dual-credit classes, he completed an associate’s degree. Graduating from college is always an impressive accomplishment that should be recognized and celebrated. It becomes all the more impressive when the diploma recipient is not even old enough to drive a car.
In an interview, the impressive young man thanked his teachers and professors for helping him succeed in the classroom.
“For as long as I can remember, learning has always been one of the best parts of life,” Beckett said. “And, you know, I just enjoy reading and learning…And because of my amazing teachers, and now professors, as I’m here at Dallas College, I’m really grateful that they’ve been able to further my educational journey,” he said.
The video mentioned that Beckett now has plans to move on to a four-year school and major in engineering.
Whether it be engineering, mathematics or some other field, whatever degree this young man ultimately decides to pursue, he will assuredly succeed and do well.
