Sidecar cocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Cognac (VS or VSOP)
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz lemon juice—freshly squeezed
- Lemon twist for garnish
- Sugar for the rim, optional
Instructions:
- Rim the glass (optional)—Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a coupe glass and dip it in a plate of sugar.
- Add cognac, Cointreau, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is well-chilled (about 20 seconds).
- Strain mixture into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
